Great news on the Season 8 front with respect to TNT. We'll see! But, Still Charmed and Kicking was a great episode.

If you were worried about Charmed ending on TNT after the conclusion of S8, do not fear! "Forever Charmed" will be shown Friday Sept. 22 at 4:00pm, but then right after at 5:00pm it will all start from the beginning again. "Something Wicca This Way Comes" will be shown! Continuing with S1 in the 4:00pm and 5:00pm timeslot! On Friday Sept. 29, the S7 finale will be shown at 8:00am and S8 will begin with "Still Charmed and Kicking" at 9:00am. So we will then have S8 in the mornings, and S1 eventually starting S2 in the afternoons! www.tnt.tv/schedule/daily/

What a huge contrast that will be.

Tell me about it. I've been recording and ocassionally watching key episodes, that I particularly liked, from S6, S7, and S8. I loved the first three seasons, with the sharpness of style that SD added, but I've also come to enjoy the latter seasons for their character stories.

Me. too. I've been watching Once in a Blue Moon, Charmed Noir, etc. I will go through the Avatar arc. It's always fun dwelling on a particular segment.
Talk about contrasts. Let's see: Aviva versus Billie! Hmmm, there was something about that fiery Goth gal, wasn't there?
Of course, this is one of the advantages of the even/odd pairing. Something Wicca (#156) with Still Charmed and Kicking (#157). Forever Charmed (#178) with Something Wicca (#1). I even like AHBL (#66) with Charmed Again Part 1 (#67), though I'd rather take it as a trilogy. Witch Wars (#132) and A Call to Arms (#135) was an interesting pairing, too! Deja Vu and Witch Trial wiil be as well, even though Witch Trial is rather weak. Still, death of Andy and the consequences for Prue seen back to back is interesting.
All of this talk makes me want to construct my own DVD collection of juxtaposed episodes. Let's see: we could have the four episode Sam arc. We could have the Piper and Leo marital dispute collection. We could have the compleat guide to PhoeME and contrast this with what I love about PhoeBE!
I'm lazy, what can I say. Rather than hunt out individual DVDs and have to change them, I'd rather make my own and try out new ways of experiencing Charmed. That sort is how I first watched the show: randomly. It was confusing. Here's Cole, now he's not. Who's Chris? Why isn't Leo their whitelighter anymore? What happened to Prue? Why did the outro music change?

DVD discs can only support 4 episodes dude! That's too long of a saga.

Make it a box set in the shape of a coffin. Cover art could be an adaptation from the tombstone featured in There's Something About Leo.

I'm still trying to convince myself that season 8 didn't exist and that the series ended in season 7

I'm still trying to convince myself that season 8 didn't exist and that the series ended in season 7 but u gotta admit, season 8's ending was better than season 7's

Well, not really. The series ending in season 8 didn't really answer all the questions that should have been answered. Season 7 ending was vague don't get me wrong. But it was better than trying answer some of the questions iin Season 8 and leaving out others. Season 7 didn't have Billie either which ruined Season 8 and not having Leo for most of the season. But I'm moving on. The series is over I haven't posted in awhile and probably won't post again. It prolongs the agony. This time of year really pains me it now hit me that Charmed is no more and never will be again. When there was so much more that could have been done with it. But all in all they would have compromised it some more and then it would be a shell of itself and then I couldn't watch anymore like that. The memories and the DVD's while may comfort others does nothing for me. The news of the stars tweaks my interest to see where they are going. But that time and place on this board was special place to try and make a difference but in all reality it didn't

It's hard to believe that S1 has started to replay on TNT. It seems like just the other day I was watching S1. Oh wait, I was on DVD. At least I don't have to record anything anymore. That's a good thing. It was a hassle to fast forward through the commercials everynight. Now, all I have to do is wait for S6, S7 and S8 to come out on DVD. That will be great. It definitely will make it easier for watching. Besides, I won't have to deal with the VCR anymore.

Seeing the old shows is pretty neat. I enjoy seeing the changes in the actors - physically and how they matured into their roles.

There is also another Charmed marathon on today on TNT at pretty much the same hours as the one yesterday. The episodes, however, are bouncing all over the place, though they are showing one of my favorites, Cat House.

Currently TNT is running 5 hours of charmed weekdays - I'm wondering how long that will last, and how many more seasons they will continue to play charmed if they burn up the episodes that quickly...

Well, they are running three different cycles at least! Hey, it's kind of fun having Charmed on for five hours on Monday. Enjoy it while it lasts!
