We couldn't afford cable and the only channel we could catch with metal Hangers, fm Wire, and tin foil (and sometimes somebody standinfg there holding 1 arm and 1 leg up in the air) was K5 which was also WB and UPN.
Mom had the T.V. on while she was cleaning the House and I came into the palor to eat my lunch while it happened to be on the "Cupid" eppisode.
was like, cool, this is like D&D or something...and My mom was saying it was Shannen's new show and I was like...oh
Watched it, liked it, (Which is surprising cause Shannen usually does sucky "girlie dramas") but my mom didn't know the name of it so had to look it up and watched it the next week then reconized "tony's Daughter' during one of Phoebe's close up....lol

I saw CHARMED from the beginning. In fact, it was the movie, PRACTICAL MAGIC that led me to watch the show's premiere.

I saw CHARMED from the beginning. In fact, it was the movie, PRACTICAL MAGIC that led me to watch the show's premiere. There's something about women and wicca... I love that movie too. I don't watch network television unless I am traveling. Once, in a hotel room, I was channel surfing and happened across Charmed in syndication, somewhere in the fifth season. I don't remember what episode, only that Paige had red hair. Well, one of my colleagues noticed and bought me the fifth season on dvd as a birthday gift. Well, I ran out and bought seasons 1-4 and watched them over and over and over... and over... (that doesn't even sound like a word any more) It's a scary thing, shooting your thoughts out into the ether like this. I want to thank all the veterans out there for making the effort to help us "newbies" feel more comfortable.

It was in 2000, sunday afternoon. I was bored and watched tv and then I saw it. I though that it's some movie but it wasn't. And since 2000 I'm huge fan of this perfect tv show. And who cares that it's over?

Well, i used to watch the WB from time to time, usually 7th heaven *is embarrassed*. About four years ago or so, I saw a commercial for Charmed, but i had no idea what it was about. Then one day soon after, i was just randomly flipping through channels, when i came across the WB. Charmed happened to be on. I believe it was the season premiere of season 6, and it was at a part where the charmed ones were disguised as Valkyries. Well, since i had no idea what the show was about, i assumed that they dressed like that on a day to day basis, so i thought that was kind of weird. Little did i know, they dress normally and they are pretty darn fashionable too. But anyway, my sister walked into the room and she was like, "Oh this is that stupid show Charmed. Change the channel." So, since i already thought the show was strange, i changed the channel and never gave it a second thought. The end. Hahah just kidding. So, i never saw it again until september of 2007. I had my car in the shop and i was just sitting in the waiting room listening to my ipod. I looked over at the tv and noticed that it was on TNT, and Charmed was on. I was able to recognize the show, but i still didn't know much about it. But i was pleased to see the Charmed Ones wearing normal clothes, so i took out my headphones and began watching. Strangely enough, it was another episode from season 6. I don't remember the name of the episode, but the seen that was on was when Phoebe was putting lipstick on Piper, helping her get ready for a date, and she was talking to her about how tough it was dealing with her new empath power. So, i continued watching, but towards the end of the episode, my car was done so i left. I watched it the next day, and was delighted to find that they show two episodes back to back each day. But at first i was still really confused. I didn't know what their powers were. I thought they could all orb. I didn't realize that Paige could only orb because she's half whitelighter. Heck, i didn't even know what a whitelighter was. But i did some research, and got some background info, so i quickly caught on. And i've been watching ever since, and i love it! =] The funny thing is, that same sister who said it was stupid now loves it as much as i do. I got her addicted. Please don't be embarrasssed about watching 7th Heaven--since that's the only show I watched on The WB besides Charmed, I'm pretty sure that that's what *I* was watching when I first saw the commercials for Charmed! I enjoyed reading your tale and glad that your sister came around--it's so much better to get to share the show! My friend, who lives in the apartment above mine, started watching it on her own before she moved in. We were already friends by that point, but both of us were too embarrassed to admit that we both watched Charmed. Then one Sunday she was cooking supper and had some extra so phoned and asked if I wanted to come up and join her. I did and she happened to be watching Charmed. I was *so* surprised! From then on we both watched every Sunday (part of the reason why I kept watching even after I no longer liked it) and thoroughly enjoy discussing it. Thanks again for sharing! And because I enjoyed your tale so much, you have been blessed! I'm glad you enjoyed reading my experience. =] haha, i don't have anything against 7th Heaven. Even now i'll watch it every once in a while. I used to watch it religiously when i was younger. I just don't really like the newer stuff. I guess i dont' like the direction it has taken. And the only reason i was embarrassed to say that i used to watch it is because all of my friends think it is the most stupid show ever. But i don't think it is. =]

I only discovered charmed about 3 weeks ago!!! I am not much of a tv watcher,i much prefer pottering about on the net. But i had heard some of my friends mention it,and one day i was in our local poundshop and they had 3 copies of the first 3 episodes of season 1 on dvd,so i decided to buy it and see what all the fuss was about!!!!!
I watched them that night, and i just finished season 3 last night, and will start on season 4 tomorrow night.
How i wish i had discovered it when it first started, but hey ho better late than never.

I discovered Charmed a couple of years ago, i was bored sat at home so i started channel flicking and there was an episode of Charmed on, i thought this looks OK, by time it had finished i was hooked i thought it was absolutely brilliant. I have all 8 seasons on DVD now and i love it the more i watch it. I was balling my eyes out when i watched the finale but then again there has been quite a few tear jerker episodes. Sad it has ended but blessed it was made...x

i found the show purely by accident and i've been hooked ever since. the on-screen rivalry between Prue and Phoebe was what first caught me and then i thought i would continue watching to see how the girls would develop and whether or not Prue and Phoebe would eventually kill each other! lol

I envy you. Two of my sisters like it, but my parents don't. They're always like, "It's demonic!" But they have never taken the time to actually sit down and watch it. Then they would realize that yes, there are demons in it, but the charmed ones are good and they kill the demons. I hate it when people say a show is bad when they have never even seen it.
