I'm still going to have to go with Nigel from "Witchstock." I can't get over the "freezing good witches" (in the Halliwell manor, to boot!) inconsistency.
Although Tuatha, Helen, and Amanda were pretty inane, also.
It's entirely possible that one of Simon's parents had an affair with a whitelighter, and the Marks family bound Simon's powers (or cloaked them from the Elders) until word spread through the magical community that half-breed Paige had come into her powers. By that point, since the Elders allowed Paige to live, they couldn't really get rid of Simon.

I don't really think that any of the characters were ridiculous. I mean, each and every one of them had a purpose on the show, even 'Simon' from "The Last Temptation of Christy" had a purpose, he helped Henry to realise that he really wanted Paige and Billie gave the Charmed Ones someone to get annoyed at.

I think the "Demon Bride" from the "Wedding From Hell" was a bad actress, not sure about the character. When she is calling on the elements, she looks ridiculous.
I guess for me the worst character was the half demon half human man with the baby. I just didn't see where that story line was going. Once he turned back to human, I thought he and Piper had a lot of chemistry. I think they should have left him human. I am sorry, can't remember the epi title.

Just my POW but: Mabel, Mitsy and Margo, the Stillman sisters from season 6 episode The Power of Three Blondes. I find these 3 very irritating.

Okay I've gone through this entire thread and had to make notes so I'd remember what to comment on. Personally, I love the idea of guest stars. It's sometimes nice to see stars we know and love play small guest roles in our favourite television shows! I'm just going to comment on some of the guest spots you guys mentionned and I'm going to add a couple. Here goes:
The nymphs. These girls were horrid. This was another failed attempt at trying to work with Greek mythology. I always thought nymphs were more elemental. Ah well.
Drake. When I first saw him I went "OH MY GOD! This guy plays someone evil in something!" and then I looked it up and discovered he played the a-hole in Titanic. Anyway, I thought he served a nice little purpose. But I wish he could have been around longer.
The Pirates. This might have been cool if it were done right. I was mainly sleepy through this one.
"When Bad Warlocks Go Good". This one was another snore-fest. This could have been a nice Prue-centric episode but just bores me.
Kira the Seer. She is my all-time favourite guest-star on Charmed. Why? Because she's Charisma Carpenter! On top of that, she was funny which very few demons have been.
Agent Brody. I thought he was a good character in the beginning with a good motivation. However, when he became far too obsessive and less attentive to Paige, I was instantly turned off.
The Chosen One ("That Old Black Magic"). I think that's what he was called. Anyway, he was by far the lamest character. He was really contradictory too because I think the Charmed Ones should have been able to kick Tuatha's butt.
Jenny. WHY?! She was such a waste of budget!! They even put her in the credits!! ACK! Imagine if they hadn't had her! That would have been money in the "Bring Brian Back Fund" for season eight.
The Three Blondes. I hate to say... but I loved them too!! It was the factor that you really wanted to see the Charmed Ones slap them. Plus, I think Jenny McCarthy is a great actress.
That's my review!

FF- Nice summation. Of course you included characters you liked and didn't like. Plus, there are a few silly ones you left out. Still, I agree with your feelings about some of those episodes which really just didn't hit the mark they were probably aiming for at the time. I'll have to think about it, but another list would be one for those characters which irritated us the most. I think I'll start that thread. Thanks for the idea. I give you full credit for it.

Sorry! Money saved in Season 2 would not have been spent on Season 8. Simon Reginal Thedus Marks was a BLAST, even though his existence in Charmedverse was utterly contradictory to everything we knew about whitelighter/witches etc.!

I really didn't like Christy's character AT ALL! I think it would have been nice if she would have been a "good witch" like the charmed ones because her and Billie would have made a good a$$ kickin duo....and maybe even a spinoff could have become of them like Charmed. Who knows.

Most rediculous Character? I would say Cupid...Coop...not his personality, but just the fact that he is Cupid... I mean ya, there were mermaids, and leprachauns, but come on! Cupid...that just seems odd to me...idk why.

out of the sisters it would be prue she ALWAYS wanted to be the lead witch and take controll.most of the plans that they made were mostly hers.and she said that she wants a free life like phoebe and piper. i mean if she just let the other sisters take over for a while ,but no just because she wanted it her way and to always be in charge

by no means would i call prue ridiculous. maybe you did not like her personality AT ALL but she was a VERY essential character to the show.

I agree! Let's not bash Prue when we could still be laughing about poor Jenny in S2! And let's not forget the whining Hope in Little Box of Horrors. Also, as cute as she was, I still wanted to strangle the girl who played little Phoebe in The Importance of Being Pheobe. "Hello, He Loooves us!" (Please, someone vanquish me now...)

IMO she did not add anything to the show. It seemed like a nice idea but just did not pan out.
