Hmm considering the Charmed Ones are supposed to be all powerful and everything. Though perhaps was a foreshadow to the Ultimate Power? I liked Paige, Rose made her really quirky and that's why I liked her. Though watching interviews of Rose Mcgowan, you see the similarities in how she played Paige, so I see where your coming from.

Other way around. They created Paige to be like Rose so she didn't truly have to act.
And a quirky Paige turned the show into what most fans didn't like - not dark enough, and what I didn't like - Charmed laughing at itself rather than it taking itself seriously.

Oh..was it all a bit last minute, bringing Rose in? In the sense that did she know she was going to be in the show before Shannen left? Rose wasn't exactly a trained actress, but that's no excuse for a supposed laid back approach to her character. I didn't mind that it wasn't dark enough..it had plenty of dark elements in though. As to laughing at itself, some of the plots contributed to that I guess.

Annoying, yes. Ridiculous, no. The only ridiculous part of Brody was the fact that he was rewarded while Leo was punished when Leo and Zankou did more to save the world than Brody and the Charmed Ones combined. The only reason Brody was rewarded and Leo was punished was because of which side they fought on. It just shows that the Elders were just like Leo - whitelighters who were raised to Elders after most of the Elders were killed by the Titans (thanks to Chris not warning the sisters in time) and their powers going to their head making them (especially Odin) more demonic than the demons.

Odin was just a plain out terrible Elder, all the elders were terrible in their own way (Well maybe not Sandra) but Odin just takes the cake. The Elders just should have stayed as "Them" and should have never shown themselves to the Sisters. Also Leo basically reconstituted the Elders after the Titans and what did they do to show their gratitude, they punish and almost separate him from his children, wife, family, basically everyone he knows and loves. The Elders were always just a waste of space to me and whenever the Sisters needed some help, where were they? Out of reach or blocking themselves off.....

That's why them supposedly giving Phoebe Coop to try to make up for screwing up her lovelife makes so little sense. What do they think they did to Piper when they turned Leo into an Elder?  You are right - one of Kern's worst mistakes was turning THEM into the Elders.... |

Totally agree with you on the Phoebe thing, Kern just wanted the Sisters to all get married off by the end of the series. At least with Paige I thought her and Henry had chemistry, With Phoebe and Coop I really didn't feel it. They should have just let the cupid from season 2 or Drake be Phoebe's endgame.

LOL, I like the idea of it being Phoebe's "endgame", although I'll always wish that that that had been Kyra, the one Phoebe had the most chemistry with, besides making a much better possible spin-off than Billie the Teenaged Thuperwitch.
But you're right that Season Two Cupid or Drake would've been a much better choice than Coop - either one of them or a real true handyman - one who has no powers and can't give her kids but can make her the center of his universe. That's what I always thought Phoebe needed, much more than all of these fantasy men - she needed a hard slap of reality!

Mhmm, Kyra was such a great character and I wish we got to see more of her. She had so much potential and it makes me sad that it wasn't utilized. Phoebe should have married a human or at least Drake or S2 Cupid, she and S2 Cupid always had chemistry, and it makes me wonder why no one thought to bring him back to be Phoebe's Cupid, I mean they already know each other and it would have been cute to see Phoebe's reaction to him. It also makes me sad Prue never got an Endgame, Andy was obviously supposed to be her Endgame but he died, does anyone know why Andy was killed? I have heard rumors but never a concrete reason.

Andy was killed because Ted King wanted off the show. He thought that the sisters would always be the main stars and his role would always be small.
Oh, he should've just hung around until Brad Kern took over....
Although for me, I'd always want Prue's Endgame to be Bane, the way I'd always want Mark the Ghost to be Piper's and Leo to be Paige's...

Aww, why Ted we loved you. He should have stayed on longer, if he lived and "Deja Vu All Over Again" never existed he and Prue would have become a bigger and bigger power couple which I would have loved <3 Of course we might not have gotten Bane if that happened ugh... so conflicting  |

But so often the co-star ends up being a true star, which might be what he was thinking. After all, if you'd never watched the show and read a lot of posts, thanks to Kern, you'd probably think the true star was Julian McMahon.... Like I said, Ted should've just waited a few years.... Well, obviously a lot of our earlier members didn't think there is, since they kept mentioning annoying characters. That's why I was glad that someone started a Most Annoying Character Thread. So for this one, if you want to list your most REDICULOUS character as the title suggests, hopefully that will keep this thread on topic. |

The most Ridiculous characters hands down are
Wyatt - The Charmed Ones were supposed to be the most powerful witches to correlate in the family line, yet he surpasses all of them put together in terms of power.
Billy - The same reason behind why I listed Wyatt. A novice witch that apparently is so powerful shes deemed the ultimate power along with her sister Christy? I don't think so.
Chris Perry - His actions in season 6 makes him the most ridiculous person ever.

I agree with you about Billie, how are they so powerful anyway, what have they done. They were just witches..if anything, the Charmed Ones should be the ultimate power. Wyatt was Piper's son though, he was going to be powerful anyway..the first born.

I agree with you about Billie, how are they so powerful anyway, what have they done. I guess scrying with a huge crystal rock on a labtop qualifies you as being the Ultimate Power. She nor her sister Christy had done anything significant for them to obtain that title. If they truly were they wouldn't have needed the Hollow. |

Exactly, Christy was nothing more than a quick fix plot device. Having her side with Billy and combine their powers all of the sudden made them both the Ultimate Power? It was just way to confusing. Like everything became the Ultimate Power that season. I remember they said it was the Triad at first. lol
