I also agree with you but i think he tried to minipulate her to much so she loved him, but she was to hurt to love him again and trust him.

Phoebe definitely loved Cole(past tense) until she found out that he was the source and he was making her his queen. that's when things went south with them.

yes she most certainly did love cole. she helped him try to destroy the evil and when it was gone and he was pretty much mortal. but nope he just couldnt stay that way. he didnt want to learn how to get things in the good ole fashioned way of working for it with out evil magic. but then he would of become boring ole cole.

Phoebe totally loved Cole, you could see it every time they talked to each other. But eventually, Phoebe's love went and took a 360... but yeah she did love him at 1 point and maybe still did even after his final vanquish.

Course she did! And he loved her. It was such a shame that things ended in the way they did. I think Phoebe always loved Cole, he was the great love of her life, no matter who she ended up with.

She loved him for sure. Unfortunately, what followed after S4 was ridiculous. Cole was Phoebe's first big love, and that he turned out to be a demon and later become the Source, had never bothered her. I think that she never should have given up on him. He couldn't forget her and wanted to give her new hope and chances for a new love in S7. This is why he sent Drake to her.

No. She loved the lawyer, but hated the demon, and both were part of what made Cole Cole.

I agree. I'm still waving my 'she loved Cole' flag though!! Plus, Cole was the lawyer and Belthazor the demon..a different person. Literally. In the beginning, when they first met was when they had feelings for each other..before anything happened. Yes Phoebe grew to hate Cole's demon half, but they did love each other, despite everything.
Even if she only loved his human half, that was strong. You can't discount that.

Oh, I have a whole thread from another site that I want to copy over....it may help convince you how very wrong you are about that....even without Belthazor, Cole was much more the demon than he was the lawyer!!!
It's the first thread I've ever read that finally made S4 (and early S5) make sense.

I think people can easily believe that they love someone.. I think Phoebe believed she loved Cole at the time, but I am not sure if she would have said that if you asked her character in season 6. He definitely broke her heart, no question - all I know for certain is that I loved Phoebe and Cole!  |

Cole and Belthazor were one and the same. I think it was stupid of Leo to try to separate the two in "Black As Cole". And if Phoebe could only love the "human" side, then she didn't really love him. Not all of him. And that only tells me that she was really incapable of true love.
She broke his heart just as thoroughly as he broke hers. Probably even more so.

How could she love a demon though? All those bad things he did, yes she could have tried to love him..but just because she couldn't love his demon half doesn't mean that she was incapable of love full stop.
