If Prue Returned...

Since I have seen this subject come up a lot I thought I would give it a thread.

I know myself and all the other Prue fans and supporters would have loved to see her make guest appearances after her death. So how would you want to see her? Do you think she should have been made a whitelighter or just make an appearance as a Ghost as Grams and Patty do?

Personally I would be happy with both as long as we saw her again, but I think she would have made a great whitelighter and is very much deserving of it after all the good she has done in life. Not to mention her death was to try to protect an innocent even though it failed because he went with her. But perhaps she could not visit the girls and Leo as often as a whitelighter since she would important responsibilities. But even one appearence as a whitelighter is just as satisfying to me as several as a ghost.

I would have liked to see her come back as a spirit, like Grams and Patty (in solid form).

But my favorite way would have to be....Piper somehow finds a way to bring Prue back from the dead, and in the process all loose memory of Paige, including Paige herself. Paige would forget that she was ever a witch, and she would go back to where ever she came from, not knowing anything about the Halliwells, just living the life she had before she was a Charmed One.

I know realistically, they would not just drop Paige off the planet of Charmed. But if I had it my way, that's exactly what I would do.

...Now, I don't hate hate Paige. But there can be no Charmed with the Power of Four, it has to be the Power of Three. It is all about The Power of Three. And if I had to choose Prue or Paige...it would automatically be Prue, not even a question.

Now, that would have been a truly Ultimate Battle! Prue, along with the entire Warren line of witches, united with her sisters to smash the Triad once and for all!

This is very interesting. Perhaps instead of just dropping her off the Charmed planet instantly though there could be an entire issue over who gets to stay and who goes since there can only be a power of three. Kind of like at the end of season four when they were forced to make a decision between continuing to be witches and finally having the normal life they have always wanted back. Even though Prue was the Original third sister since there are technically four girls with the Halliwell name brought together, this would cause a problem and force a trial. That would make a very interesting two part special.

Okay, here I tread on a hot topic...

Prue returning as a ghost really could have been cool, a la Grams and Patty, maybe in the "Wiccaning" episodes or at least in the series finale in which they brought back everyone else.

Since all the bad blood w/ Shannen and Kern, since Shannen couldn't come back for a guest appearance, in the last episode, with the voice overs I think it could have been so cool if Piper's voice over could have alluded to the fact that Prue comes back as a familiar to help guide the COs witchy children and have a shot of Prue's "dog identity" from "Look Who's Barking." (And let's face it--if Phoebe is your mom, you're going to need all the help you can get.)

But my real preference is that at the end of Season 3, Prue and Piper are both saved by Tempus rewinding time. Phoebe and Cole are both executed in the underworld by the Source. Neither are ever heard from again. In Season 4, a mourning Prue and Piper learn of the existence of their long lost half sister Paige...who is played by the lovely and talented Alicia Witt!!!

Well, you gave away the fic just a bit, but yep, that's it! I hope anyone who reads it lets me know what they think!

Despite the fic, I would prefer if Prue was a whitelighter, specifically Wyatt & Chris'. She's make sure they stay in line, the way she did with her sisters, specifically making sure that Wyatt doesn't turn evil and that Chris would never consider murdering a Valkyrie just to try to get Piper back.

And before she becomes *their* whitelighter, she could either become the sisters' whitelighter after Leo becomes mortal or is Billie's before Billie meets the sisters. I would've SOOO loved watching her give her sisters what-for for how horribly they've misused their powers since Prue died and watching Prue put them back on the right track!

Yeah but I am not sure the Elders would allow Whitelighters to serve their own family; to answer the already predicted question that this would cause to be asked; Paige was different because she did not know Sam was her father, and Vise-Versa.

To me since they forbid Whitelighter/Charge relationships, their already being family upon receiving the assignment would just be worse. Although this is a very interesting idea.

Well trying to destory the avatars was a good thing that deserved the honor, but the fact that he wanted to destroy them for selfish reasons I agree cancels that out.

Why would it be great for Prue to become a whitelighter? What is so great about being a whitelighter? Why would anyone want to become one? To help people? A person can do that without becoming a whitelighter or a witch.

What if Prue returned as evil Prue ?

She gets send back to Earth by the Elders, pure of heart and innocent.
The underworld get their hands on Prue, brainwash her to believe that she is a powerful demon and pushes her into a fight against
Piper, Phoebe & Paige, who she now believes is the enemy.

Happy or un-happy ending:
Do they have to vanquish Prue, because she is beyond saving ?
Do they manage to turn Prue back to the path of good and save her, so they suddently have The Power Of Four, or:
Will Prue then be left out, since there only can be The Power Of Three, who is her sisters, since she lost that right when she died ?

A lot of plotlines that had to be filled if Prue returned.

Honestly, Prue wouldn't have fit in as a ghost... I think that she isn't a supporting character. If she came back... I'd want it to be to a similar way Grams did in "Necromancing the Stone" where she's not quite a ghost but she's also not really alive.

Of course, there haven't been a lot of instances where I've gone "OMG! This would be a perfect moment for Prue to return" because there haven't been any. Hell, most of the time I'm thinking "Why isn't Phoebe having any magic scenes?" and "Why isn't Paige doing something other than making wisecracks and screwing up?". HOWEVER, the moment when I said "Oh, this is stupid. This is where Prue obviously would have been" was when Piper went back into time and picked up Grams and Patty to help her bring Phoebe/Paige back to life.

To this day, I think it was so idiotic that Piper would have consciously chosen to get Grams. I think Piper would have chosen Prue to help her out. Whatever.

I thought that Piper couldn't get Prue until that she had completely accepted Prue's death. Who said that she have not tried already?
