She is only speaking her mind. Freedom of speech people. She is right in what she said about strangeling Phoebe. He didn't do it intentionally, he was under the Sirens Spell. But i guess you lot are going to attack him for that as well. Why is it that when Cole is not responsible for his actions people attack him blah blah blah. Cole is a easy target for this sort of thing. But so are the sisters. In Season 3 Prue, Phoebe and Piper were turned evil in Bride and Gloom. Piper and Phoebe shattered one innocent person and turned another into a Pig. Why dont they get attacked her that. After all it's basically the same thing

I am finding the question "is Cole evil" a very difficult one to answer. For me to do this, I have to define evil, or at least claify the series' definition of evil. I can't say that evil is just being cruel, because ALL of the major characters were cruel to each other at some point. We are all human and dark and light resides in us all (as some of the posts I have recently read demonstrate). I think, as far as the show is concerned, they define evil as an absence of empathy. If this is so, then Cole was not evil for the majority of his time on the series. I think his obsession drove him to madness and that his madness eventually evaporated his capacity for empathy (note his cavalier attitude about murdering Paige in Centennial Charmed). By that point he had become fully evil and it was time for him to meet his end. If a lack of empathy is the definition of evil, it begs the question "Are the Charmed ones evil because they feel no empathy when they kill demons?"

DrewsGal, would you be singing the same tune if Ljones was making personal insults at you and swearing at you every time she opens her mouth?
I realize Cole didn't do it intentionally. But even though he was under the Siren's influence, that certainly still didn't endear him to Phoebe (or help him make his case to her).
The sisters showed remorse when the realized what they'd done, at the end of "Bride and Gloom."
Did Cole ever show remorse for his actions during Season 5?

Yes, like in Siren Song he was very sorry for what he did to Phoebe. And apart from that i don't actually remember him killing someone when he was Sane. The Madness Killing can't be excused so i won't mention that.
Your all as bad as each other IMO. You all winde each other up. I wasn't saying Freedome of Speech as in let her insult you, but in her opinions and comments about Charmed.

I've been thinking lately about this Cole Evil Thread, & I just came up with something about Cole.
Nobody is born good or evil. For Example, Christy & Billie were born from the same mother, but Billie grew up good, & Christy grew up evil because of being raised by demons. If they are born that way, Billie would have been evil like Christy or vice versa.
Cole spent so much time not knowing any good till he met Phoebe, as much as he loves her, he never felt complete without his powers.
Cole had the choice to be good, & thats what he did. He saved innocents along with the sisters. Once he didn't have his powers anymore, he felt empty inside, & The Source took advantage of that. So I don't believe Cole was really evil. Just needed someone to show him whats its like to be good.
Also, The Seer Kira, She was sick of being Evil. So she wanted to become human.
Anyway, I think I said enough. ;D ;D ;D ;D

He did show remorse there, I'll give him that.
What about when he killed the landlord, at the end of "Witches in Tights"?
No one here is telling Ljones she can't have opinions about Charmed or make comments about where the show went wrong.
It's just that whenever someone disagrees with her, she whines that she's being "harassed" and "attacked" - - and then she hypocritically proceeds to do to others the exact same thing she's complaining about.
I think you're defending her specifically (rather than anyone else on the board), solely because you happen to share a lot of her opinions.

Cole Turner was born evil and will always be. he tried his hardest to be good. and if him and phoebe had stayed together then maybe he would have stayed good. he was a little big rigged being forced to be the source. but he gave in and took the easy way out. thats a true evil act. I think if he was truly evil then he would have tried his hardest to stay good.

Actually, Cole was born half-mortal, which distinguishes him from most other demons.

Actually i disagree with a lot of things that she says. I am not defending her insults and personal attacks on people, i mearly defend the fact that she does come up with some strong opinions that maybe aren't welcomed by others that well. But anyway, lets not argue maties.
I had totally forgotten about the landlord. But that guy was a ass and was going to expose the sisters, so i suppose Cole thought he was doing the right thing in dealing with him. I don't argree with the way he dealt with him, but i am sure he thought he had the sisters best interests at heart, and probably thought it was the Right thing to do. Which realyl it wasn't. Phoebe over reacted when she found out about the whole thing, but that is expected.
