But from what i saw it was only Cole changing. i never saw Phoebe try to change herself.

I wasn't referring to me wanting someone I loved to change who they are, I was talking about that I'd change myself for who I love. When I fall in love, it's for them, so yeah, I agree completely on that anyways. Love is never easy between two people, even if it's not a witch and a demon. I'm not really sure what I'd do if I was in Phoebe's shoes. We might of done exactly what she did. Not because we don't love every bit of him.  |

during there whole relationship Phoebe was very selfish, even after they had split up in S5, only thinking of herself and not his needs. Heck COle even changed the past ( C/Charmed) for Phoebe. There love just revolved around her.

And how was that fair to the other billions of people in the world whom Cole altered the lives of without their consent? So when the Avatars do it, I guess it's a sin - - but if Cole does it...oh, he was reeling from the way Phoebe treated him, so it's "understandable" that he was driven to do that.  Gee, the Charmed Ones borrow Darryl's soul for a couple of hours, people scream bloody murder and demand that they burn on the pyre...but Cole becomes an Avatar and remakes the world, and people claim, "Oh, he was just hurtin'. It's all nasty Phoebe's fault...she drove Cole to do that!"I find it hypocritical how people continuously rag on Phoebe for trying to change Cole when they were dating, yet people seem to give Cole a free pass when he tried to do the same to everyone else in the world.

Cole did become an avatar. Season 5, that's how he was able to alter time in Centennial Charmed.

I don't blame Phoebe for trying to change Cole. I blame for Phoebe for not accepting Cole for himself. I blame COLE for trying to change himself for Phoebe's sake, instead of trying to be himself. In fact, he made the same mistake when he was an assassin for the Source.
Are you trying to dismiss Phoebe and Paige's theft of Darryl's soul as irrevelant? I hope not. The reason I don't complain about Cole's crimes and mistakes, is because many fans and the media harp on it ALL THE TIME, yet ignore the Charmed Ones' crimes and mistakes. I complain because I get tired of fans and the media ignoring the sisters' crimes because they're supposed to be "good witches" and harp on Cole's crimes because of his past as a demonic assassin.
Is it possible to point out or discuss the crimes of ALL characters - whether they're supposed to be good, evil or otherwise? Is that too much of a stretch for you?
Cole gets a free pass for trying to change the lives of others without their consent? BULLSH*T! People constantly bring up his crimes all the time. I don't mind if you bring up his crimes. But gee, whitelightertony, if you're going to bring up Cole's crimes, why not point out the crimes of the Charmed Ones and Leo's, as well? All they did was prove that they were no better than he. And they were also guilty of trying to change people's lives without anyone's consent.

Plenty of people on this board have taken Phoebe and Paige to task for their behavior in "Valkyrie of the Dolls" (and "Hyde School Reunion"). I just don't agree that their actions were quite as severe as creatures who try to take over the entire universe and hope to subjugate an entire species. Well, in past conversations you've indicated that Cole was depressed/suicidal in Season 5, and that the Charmed Ones had a moral obligation to help him (rather than ignore him) during that time. Funny, since you're the same one who always complains that the Charmed Ones' destiny to protect Innocents is basically a crock that they shouldn't be held to that expectation. When did I say it was too much of a stretch? You seem eager to go on the offensive, ljones; and "it's just not working for me."  ;D  Thank you...I will continue to do so everytime anyone tries to hold the Charmed Ones and Leo to a ridiculous double standard. Oh, you're doing an extensive enough job of that on behalf of all of us, ljones. ;D That's true...so can we all agree that everyone - - the Charmed Ones, Leo, the Avatars, Cole, the Elders, The Source, The Seer, Zankou, the Angel of Death - - was wrong whenever they tried to manipulate the world according to their whims? |

You f*cking liar. I never said sh*t about the Charmed Ones having a destiny to protect innocents. I couldn't give a rat's a*s about them protecting innocents by killing demons. All I had pointed out is why they couldn't see that Cole needed emotional help in S5. They noticed that Piper did in early S4. They noticed that Prue did in S3. What the f*ck?

No, I didn't forget. And that action was wrong...and they definitely regretted it. That's not the impression I get from other threads. In fact, I often find myself seeming to be one of the few who understands why Phoebe/Paige did what they did to Darryl. So your argument is that they were narrow-minded and ignorant for not correctly interpreting Cole's emotional state? You're not saying they're selfish for being unwilling to help him? I think Ljones's...um, colorful use of language speaks for itself.  Although I'm sure Ljones would be screaming with self-righteous indignation if someone else was addressing her in this manner... |

you know i have always said that, right from about a week after i started posing on charmed cafe!
i caught her up on it, one minute she was arguing leo had a right to be an avatar, then he didn't, then he did again.
i am sure some people argue for the lack of anything better to do!

Woah! Time outs people.
The Charmed Ones were totally ignorrant towards Cole in s5. They were so wrapped up in themselves they didnt take the time to even consider how Cole was feeling, or why he was feeling like that. And you wanna know why. Because each and every one of The Charmed Ones are Selfish and Self Involved. They are stubborn and pig-headed. Oh but they weren't like this when Prue was alive. Heck no, they were caring and actually Gave a tiny rats A*s about innocents.

The problem was that they never realized that Cole was possessed in late-Season 4; they assumed all of those actions (becoming the new Source) were his own.
And Cole never bothered to try to explain otherwise. Apparently, he just expected Phoebe to forgive and forget without question.
