I'm still deciding. If Prue had stayed alive, she never would've let Phoebe become Freebie or even PhoeME; she still would've been the Phoebs I love, so I would've wanted her to stay around. And no way I'd want Piper to die, even if it would've meant no Chris. YIPPEE!! But without Piper, Phoebe and Prue would kill each other! So maybe I want it to remain the original three, the best set of Charmed Ones.
But I really like Paige and I felt like they needed the change or the show wouldn't have lasted as long, especially coz I don't think Shannen would've stayed that long.
Charmed: Reality Reset has proven to me that I really wouldn't want all four to be alive--it proves that finding Paige and making her an extra member of the Power of Three just seems like that--extra baggage that's not necessary.
So I'm still deciding....

I think it would have been very interesting if Piper was killed off because she was always the mediator between Prue and Phoebe so it would have been good to see how they behaved around each other without Piper there to sort things out. I also don't think Prue would have let the whole Cole is evil saga go as far as it did, I'm not sure if that would have been a good or bad thing though. I also would have liked it if Prue had got to meet Paige on the show because I don't think they would have got on and maybe Phoebe would have had to become a stronger middle sister and then maybe she would concentrate more on them than finding the man she would have children with. But then again without Piper I don't know if Leo would have stuck around and he did make a lot of fans keep watching.

Oh, I think Leo would've stuck around even if Piper was dead, because after all, he *is* the sisters' whitelighter, or at least he was until he became mortal for Piper's sake. Since I prefer Leo as a whitelighter....
No Piper also means no Wyatt or not Chris....
With how close Prue and Piper were, I can definitely see her having a hard time accepting Paige as a replacement for her and I can also see her trying to boss Paige around and Paige not liking it. And as pointed out in another thread (Prue evil?), she definitely would've gone nuts and it might have been harder for Paige to talk her out of it, the way she talked Piper out of being a Fury.
Oh, it would've been fun when Phoebe turned into the Queen of the Underworld--no *way* would Prue have let her get away with it!
And since the tension between Shannen and Alyssa would've remained (if indeed there actually was tension), that would've shown up in their acting.
Something tells me we only would've gotten four seasons, but, oh, I think they would've been a heckova lot more quality seasons than what we got.
And best of all--NO MORE WHINING ABOUT A NORMAL LIFE!!! Prue, Phoebe and Paige would've *wanted* to be magical and help innocents and Leo would've kept help guide them so they could.
No doubt about it! My vote is Bye, bye, Piper!!

I just have to say... whoa. The poll so far is pretty much all tied. Although, only one person has voted that they wouldn't want it changed. Nice to know that Prue's more popular than the WB thought... although it could just be that there's more people who dislike the other characters. HA! Who knows?

Drama! Although I don't really think it would cause a lot of drama. Prue and Phoebe really got along in s3, like in Once Upon a Time (loved that eppie). So, especially after the loss of a sister, they would have gotten real close, I think. I agree with that quote a 100%. Piper just started getting on my nerves in the later seasons and I love Paige. I would really love to see how Paige and Prue would get along on the show. And Leo would definitely stay with the other sisters, not only is he their whitelighter, but the sisters are his family as well.

So, especially after the loss of a sister, they would have gotten real close, I think. Not necessarily. She was still upset at Phoebe for lying to them about Cole still being alive, even when she counted Cole as an innocent. And if the reason why Piper died is (also the reason Prue died--wish Piper could've figured that out!) is because Phoebe couldn't say the spell to make Shax go away because she went after Cole, also the reason why Leo was down there... Piper blamed Leo. I think Prue would've blamed Phoebe, and probably never quite totally forgive her, so you would've had a *ton* of tension between them with Paige having to use her social worker skills to help them out. Her as the mediator makes a *lot* more sense than PhoeME!

i think ppl get annoyed with piper for whineing about having magical but you haver to keep in mind that having these powers killed her sister and her mom and later on when wyatt is born the whole demonic world goes aftyer him..can u imagine having to be worried about ur baby being kidnapped or killed 24/7 i mean i think she just wnted to have a safe life..plus i think prue mite've killed phoebe if she had gone evil and i mean that literally

She was whining from the very beginning. She just got worse after she got married and after she had a baby. If she'd died, she wouldn't have gotten married and had kids and we wouldn't have had to listen to her whine. I'll bet if either Prue or Phoebe ahd gotten married and had kids, you wouldn't have heard *them* whine about having a normal life!
I'd agree with you if she didn't actually enjoy using her powers when they came in handy or if she didn't keep throwing her magical kids at her unmagical father--why didn't she worry about demons going after him?? No, although I'd desperately miss her sarcasm and Holly's fantastic acting, I wouldn't miss Piper.
If she truly felt the way she talks, she should've given up her powers and had her normal life. But she never would because she loved using her powers too much, especially for her own personal gain (like making Wyatt a costume or turning reporters into rats, or if Paige had let her, making Paige's wedding dress) or using them to protect her own family and not for what their powers were *supposed* to be used for--finding and protecting innocents! She did *such* a crappy job of leading the Charmed Ones! With her, they weren't the protectors of the innocents;t they were the protectors of their own little family and to heck with the rest of the world (think Charmedaggedon)! Granted she didn't have the training from Grams that Prue had, but when the Angel of Destiny gave them the opportunity to give up their powers, since they'd fulfilled their destiny of destroying The Source, they most definitely should've all given a very loud, resounding, "YES!" especially once they found out that Piper was pregnant! Naturally, once they found out, all idea of using their powers properly went right out the window! And you can't blame Piper--of *course* her children have to come first, but as soon as she found out she was pregnant, she should've given up her own powers and binded her children's powers until they were old enough to handle them!
That's also the reason why the Elders screwed up royally in letting Leo be the sisters' whitelighter, even if that *was* my favorite storyline on the show. But the Elders knew that Leo and Piper had been lovers in a previous life. Letting these two who would concentrate on each other and not the people they were supposed to concentrate on--the innocents--work together in life-threatening situations was very simply DUMB and would've been fixed by letting Piper be the one who died.

Prue was never Phoebe's parent . . . despite what she or the people who watched the show may have thought. Prue had NO DECISION over what type of character Phoebe would have eventually become.
Then Prue would have ended up blaming the wrong person. I wonder if Leo would have had the guts to remind Prue that her decision to leave the house and go after Shax had started the whole mess in motion.

No, she wasn't, but she *was* as much of a substitute-parent-figure as Grams was--Grams made certain of it. Although they would've fought like crazy, I *do* believe that Prue would've been able to keep both Phoebe and whichever-sister-was-left, be it Piper or Paige--mind on what it was supposed to be on--INNOCENTS--not themselves and their own family! Of course she would've, and she would've been wrong. But good luck convincing Prue of that! That's part of Prue being Prue, which would've brought the tension and the drama.

I see some Piper hating going on... I think there's one thing about Piper that people don't grasp when it comes to her wanting a normal life. She does have two kids and a husband. She can't properly raise her sons if she's constantly fighting demons. I found that "Desperate Housewitches" really puts a perspective on Piper's situation.
Also, we have to remember that from the very beginning Piper never really wanted to be a witch. Unlike Prue (who was also reluctant), she didn't really ever become totally in love with being a witch. She always wanted to be normal.
As for whining. I don't distinctively remember any whining... just wanting. She was deprived of a lot of things and I really commend her for surviving as far as she did.
Mind you, Phoebe's a whole different story. She was the one who loved being a witch and somewhere in between she suddenly became the anti-witch. Does anyone else remember S1 Phoebe who embraced her witch-hood? On top of that, she did more whining I find. Especially when it came to not having an active power and wanting a normal life (or specifically a boyfriend).

I chose No One.
I would've kept the OP3, and wished I never had to know of Paige.

Um, she would have in "Witch Way Now?", but Phoebe changed her mind, and Phoebe and Paige outvoted her.

Um, she would have in "Witch Way Now?", but Phoebe changed her mind, and Phoebe and Paige outvoted her. But Piper let them change her mind. As long as one sister said no, they would not have kept their powers. And I wish Piper had been a bit stronger... Once they had fulfilled their destiny and vanquished the Source, there was no true need for the Power of Three. Phoebe and Paige could've kept their powers, use them to help innocents, and Piper could've had her normal life and not worry about having kids, because it was obvious that without her powers, the Angel of Destiny would've made sure she would've continued to not be able to have them!! One of the other two could've eventually gotten married and had two kids with one of them, *HOPEFULLY* NOT being the Twice-Blessed Child, even more powerful than the Power Of Three, so there would've been no need for a brother/sister to come back! Sounds perfect to me! While if Piper was the one who died and Prue the one who lived, all three of them would've wanted to keep their powers for the right reason--to use them to save innocents!

It still irks me that Piper wanted to give up her powers. It's so much a part of who they are. She could have had her normal life if she really tried. She could have moved away from San Francisco. Even still, she could still be with her kids and just be present for "Power of Three" spells.

Moving away from SF wasn't going to make Piper normal. She was never going to be normal as long as she was a witch and married to a whitelighter, popping out kids with orbing powers.

No. The Angel of Destiny said that a 2-1 majority would rule, and would determine the joint decision for all three sisters.
So, since Phoebe and Paige both insisted on keeping their magical identities, Piper couldn't do anything about it. It would have been 2-1 in favor of keeping their powers.
Piper never really let her mind be changed. She sort of knew she was outnumbered, so Piper basically resigned herself to the decision that they would remain witches.
Besides, once Phoebe decided she still wanted to be a witch, I think maybe Piper also began to reconsider giving up her magic. She was probably glad they didn't give up their powers, when she learned she was pregnant with Wyatt.

She was probably glad they didn't give up their powers, when she learned she was pregnant with Wyatt. I checked the scripts and you're absolutely right, Tony! Although unless accepting that destiny is what allowed Piper to be pregnant with Wyatt, I don't think she was glad--I don't think she was ever glad she had kept her powers, not with everything that came from it. After this episode, the only one who seemed to enjoy her powers was Paige, the reason why I still think they all made the wrong decision and that they all would've been a lot happier had they given up their powers and just lived "normal" lives. But for proving me wrong in a logical, non-threatening way, Tony, you've been blessed!
