I don't think that way about same genders. Just because its the same gender doesn't mean you wont have the same problems.

I never said gay/lesbian couples don't have problems or tension. Such interpersonal conflicts can arise between any two people. But in same-sex relationships, problems based on gender differences are less common, or at least, less pronounced.
I meant that it's frequently a lot easier to relate to our love interest because it means we're with someone who's just like us.
It can often make communication and sympathizing with your lover/spouse more relatable.

Well, that is true you don't see it as often, but I still think it's wrong.

First of all i don't think phoebe is selfish... I just think she wants sometimes thinks so badly that she would do anything to get it... and well she has powers so she can do what ever she likes in the first seasons of charmed when they just saidd hallo to powers they didn't really know what to do so also phoebe didn't know like that time she wanted so badly to buy a birthday present for prue but she didn't had a job so she went to a hotel and worked there as a psychic (sorry if i'm wrong but reall charmed fans know what i mean ) So phoebe isn't selfish she just react sometimes difrent if she want something badly Blessed be Peace & Love

Selfishness disguised as selflessness is a family trait in the Warren line.

Yes I totally agree. Selfishness is in the Warren line. All the sister shave a little bite of Selfishness. I don't Phoebe has a lot of it though.

Just because people say younger and only children are spoiled and selfish doesn't mean they are (I'd be careful because I'm an only child here...).
I don't think Phoebe's selfish at all. But I can definitely see where you all get that impression. Phoebe was ambitious and hard-working and when she wanted something she worked for it... or at least her version of working.
I'm going to say this statement and I don't want people to get mad but I think Piper's probably just as selfish as she is. Quite frankly, Piper could never and will never be able to properly function without Leo. If Leo was evil and him and Piper were in Phoebe and Cole's place it's likely she wouldn't have thought twice about her sisters. Leo always came first for Piper... maybe that's not selfish because it's about Leo but whatever...
I think Paige is the most selfless of all the characters. But she is independent and likes her space so that could be confused with selfishness...

Firefox, I couldn't disagree with you more.
When Piper learned that Leo was an Avatar, she gravitated to her sisters for support.
And if Leo had turned blatantly evil, I believe Piper would have done everything she could to protect her children.

Piper wouldn't have had children during the Cole/Phoebe era. I think if Phoebe had kids it would have been different because priorities change... but I'm just saying... would Piper have vanquished Leo? Prue and Paige would have vanquished their boyfriends the moment they find out he is evil... Phoebe? Not so much. Piper? I'm still on the fence because of the fact that Leo is Leo... and she's never really had another "great love" like him.

I do believe that Phoebe was selfish. Her selfishness came in the form of her self-absorbness. Everything had to be about her. And if it wasn't, she would make sure it was about her.
But Phoebe wasn't the only selfish sister on the show. Piper's selfishness reared its ugly head every now and then. I'm not too sure about Prue or Paige.

Well, we're dealing with a scenario where Piper does have children...and if it came down to choosing between her husband-turned-evil and her children, I believe Piper would vanquish Leo if it was the only way to save her children's lives.

piper was willing to sacrifice herself to save her children's lives. tell me THAT is selfishness. and as far as the selfishness that is seen season 8 (specifically)..... OF COURSE the writers made the sisters seem self absorbed in this season! if they didn't, the christie storyline would NEVER have been believable, as christie would not have any evidence of selfishness to persuade billie otherwise. the wold have been no ultimate power. and no season 8 storyline (and i am sure many fans here would rejoice at an alternate s8 storyline....but that is another story )

Well, were the Charmed Ones really being that selfish in Season 8? In my opinion, they were no more selfish than anyone else in the Charmedverse.

I doubt that she would do it for someone else's kids.
I agree. There's nothing wrong with a little selfishness . . . as long as you don't deliberately choose to do so at the expense of someone else. Like Piper did in "Once Upon a Time".

A like pheobe alot, she is also not so selfish she gave up her love of her life for the greater good... but she becam queen of the underworld. shes ha d her ups and downs!

So what's your point? Why should Piper be obligated to sacrifice her own life or her own happiness for someone else's kids? You're the one who's said that the Charmed Ones shouldn't have been obligated to battle Evil, and should have just told the Elders to take a hike early-on.
What selfishness are you referring to from "Once Upon A Time." Do you mean that Piper was neglecting to help come to Kate's aid, due to Piper's temper tantrum over losing Leo?

Prue never turned her back on the Elders ;D But given the shows longevity she would have... but she'd be the last...
If someone else's kids were innocents Piper would have to save them.
