No, we think Piper is the most emotional sister. They all have problems, but Piper is the one that really shows it, while the others hold it in.

It's slightly surprising actually when you think about it. Phoebe should be the most emotional as the youngest. But I suppose she tends to deal with things differently. If anyone's noticed, whenever Phoebe's feeling down, she tends to go into seclusion and deals with things on her own. She likes her independence (same with Paige). Obviously, we had quite a few good Prue cries (because Shannen is the best dramatic actress).
I'm not sure what my point is but I think that I'm just trying to reinforce the point that the sisters deal with things differently. Yes, we've seen a lot of crying scenes from the sisters (Paige doesn't cry a lot though... I think that's because Rose McGowan is probably an uglier crier so they don't let her cry).
I'm going to stop rambling now...

i totally understand what foxfire is saying! when SD, AM, or ESPECIALLY HMC cried it was totally believable whereas when RM cried it did not seem as believable to me! you could tell she was acting (yes I know she was acting but I enjoy the crying scenes better if the actor/actress looks more realistic when crying!) The crying scenes with RM just didnt seem as realistic or as easy to connect with as the other girls!

Paige isn't an ugly crier that was a stupid comment from you they are all ugly crier's plus i didn't know you could be a beautiful crier! i'm sorry but if i was Rose I would have smacked you for saying that! No offense but THAT is a stupid comment from you! Foxfire is entitled to their opinions as well as you and I and everyone else here is. And everyone's opinions need to be respected not bashed just because we may not agree with them. ***** Anyway I do however agree that if we were making a scale, Paige would probably be on mine as the worst crier. I think she is a good actress and she is not a terrible crier but she does not place above any of the other sisters. I'd say that Paige From the Past was her best cry and only cry that can almost add up to Piper in terms of the particular circumstance in which she was crying and how well she showed the emotion she needed to to make that circumstance seem real. Other than that she doesn't even really have any real crying scenes like Piper over Prue, Phoebe over Cole in Womb Raider and Prue over Andy. So I guess she really had no need to develop a skill in crying really. But in Paige from the Past I really felt her, so that was a good performance. |

I think that Paige did a really good job crying in It's A Bad Bad Bad World Part 2 Also I don't think that Phoebe did that good in Long Lived The Queen. Like it looked like she was acting.

Since we seem to be judging who cries the best I have to say that Shannen has the most versatility with crying. The most memorable scenes (and emotional) scenes have been Prue crying. There was Andy's death, the burden of being the eldest sister ("Magic Hour"), and Piper's deaths (in season 2 and 3). There was also "Primrose Empath"... now THAT took skill.
Now that I think about it, if Prue had stayed on I think she would have been in competition with Piper for who cries the most.

Some actresses just don't do crying very well. *shrugs shoulders*
Compare Shannen's "Primrose Empath" breakdown to Rose's "The Fifth Halliwell" breakdown. Shannen's breakdown is more compelling and believable. I really noticed this because I had basically just watched them back to back and the breakdowns seemed to be parallels.

Just to correct you its The Fifth Halliwheel! and actually Prue was good at that eppi but in my opinion RM was better in the fifth halliwheel then Prue was in Primerose actually they are about equal cause i very well believed Paige in that eppi almost more then Shannen.RM rocks at crying!

I always thought Shannen over did it with the nervous crying in Primrose empath. Rose's scene in The 5th Halliwell was excellent crying on her part, I don't know what the heck happened to her in the later seasons.

I thought both Doherty and McGowan were pretty good in their respective episodes. But I also believe that Doherty was a slightly better actress.

I thought both Doherty and McGowan were pretty good in their respective episodes. But I also believe that Doherty was a slightly better actress. I agree totally. They were both great actresses I thought but when it came to both of them having their dramatic scenes Shannon was definitely better with the one exception being Paige from the Past when I felt Rose pretty much matched both her and Holly in my opinion. Other than that Rose had definitely lost her Knack. |

I think that and this is to Firefox that If Shannen would have continued in charmed it would have ended at season 4 I can't stand her! She just thinks she's better then everyone else she has that sorta snobby spark in her face that makes her seem that way i don't for sure if she knows it but yea!

Because clearly you've met her and had time to speak with her and she was totally stuck up? That's prejudging someone. I don't see how Shannen Doherty is supposed to be stuck up. If that comes from Prue... I don't know where that comes from either. Maybe we're not watching the same show.
If we're talking about Heather Duke (from "Heathers") or even Brenda (from "Beverly Hills 90210"), then sure... those characters aren't the nicest people around. But I'm just not fond of people bashing Shannen because of bad publicity.

I agree, I believe she is a great actress despite whatever problems she may or may not have. She still brought a lot to the show and is missed by quite a few here alone for that. Maybe I am wrong AlyssaJMilano but it seems to me like you are judging Shannon by Prue and you have to remember that a character is not real, Shannon is NOT Prue she just pretends to be in front of a camera. Prue is only a character. You can't judge an actor/actress by characters they play.
If that was not what you were basing these opinions on than you have a right to feel that way but hopefully you still have good reason for your judgment call and are not just going by bad publicity as Foxfire pointed out because whatever those people are saying may not even be true. One term for it is Sleaze journalism.
