Ok couple things. I know it's ridiculous to try to explain things to a brick wall but I might as well give it a shot.

First off, "You are all idiots". Personal attack much? I really think that speaks for itself.

Secondly, you are bashing Shannen which is against the rules. It's ok to critize an actor or actress but calling them derogatory names is NOT allowed.

And we know that Shannen is? Really? Has she met with every single one of us and was rude? Well shoot..if she was meeting with everyone I'm very upset I was left off of the list.. WHAT A B!!!!

And yes might I add that you ARE judging a book by its cover or at least word of mouth and second hand information.

Let me use an analogy that you *might* understand. What you are doing to Shannen right now is something that people do to Britney Spears everyday. You fight to defend her..why exactly are we wrong to defend Shannen when we know just as much about her as you know about Britney?

Thanks, I had the urge to respond to that myself but figured it was best left to the people in charge to avoid causing trouble. I would prefer not to re-experience past problems here as well.

The major thing to remember is that Prue is *not* Shannen any more than Piper *is* Holly or Phoebe *is* Alyssa or Paige *is* Rose. They look like them and sound like them, but it's not *them*! So just because you feel one way towards what the gossips say about the actress should *not* affect the way you feel about the character. You should judge both on their own merits. I never read the rags or watch those type of shows because they change my reactions towards characters. I'd rather judge the characters as those characters are portrayed.

That's why I *LOVE* S1-3 Prue, S1-2 Piper, S1-2 Phoebe, S3 Cole, S1-5 Leo, and S4 and S8 Paige! They're *such* lovable characters, not ones that make me roll my eyes because the only way you can like them is if you feel sorry for them!

I think Shannon is great, In fact I just recently saw a great performance by her on ABC family in a cute movie called Christmas Caper. Shannon is a jewel thief in hiding by visiting her hometown again after several years, who finds her good side with the help of her niece and nephew. I thought she did a great job in this film, her character in this film actually bore a bit of resemblance to Prue in some of her attitude in the beginning of the film when Baby sitting for her niece and nephew is not her favorite job at first.

I do hope that time comes for you foxfire I will be eagerly waiting for your feedback.

Exactly I pointed that out earlier in response to one of many rude comments by AlyssaJMilano. You can't judge an actor by the characters they play. In my favorite show Quantum Leap Jennifer Rhodes has a guest starring role as Mrs. Stephans, mother to a young adult daughter and was abandoned by her husband when the daughter was a toddler. This made her bitter and very smothering of the daughter; she bases her life completely on her pain and what she went through. Mrs. Stephans is made to annoy you, she annoys the hell out of me yet we all love Jennifer Rhodes, from an interview in Charmed Magazine that I read she seems to be a very lovely lady and we all love her as Grams on Charmed who is a very different character. So just because Mrs. Stephans is annoying as hell does not make Jennifer Rhodes the same.

So we really can not judge Shannon on Prue.

As for the main topic of this thread, I think we all just have to remember two things. First, the sisters (as we are almost perpetually reminded, are all about emotion and that's, in part, where their power comes from. Well, emotional people often cry. This leads to the second point, more real world, in that the character Piper cries when the script says she should. That said, it never seemed out of place when any of the characters/sisters cried as that was almost always a very dramatic moment. Unlike the dearth of reality shows that we are drowning in, Charmed was about entertainment in the good old fashion way, drama and comedy. I'm sure everyone can figure out which of those two are involved in the crying parts. So, bottom line, no, Piper does not cry too much, she cried when it was appropriate and the actor HMC did a very convincing job of it. In fact it always amazes me how good actors can cry in such scenes, on demand. I guess that's why we watch them on TV.

Let's be real here. She cried because that's what was called for in the script. The Piper character, and HMC joked about this at times, also died or was mortally wounded more often than any of the other sisters.

Actualy I miss her "JA-JA-JA" from the earlier seasons...lol
