The Heart of the Dying

Fast and steady, not quite ready.
Life unable still unstable.
Emotions flying, beating, crying,
This is the heart,
the heart of the dying.

All I feel is love and life
as I fight for one more night.
One more star, one more sky,
one more hello, one more goodbye.
One last walk, one last drive,
one more day to be alive.

Fast and steady, I think I'm ready,
Death enabled, slowly stabled,
Emotions flying, beating, crying,
This is my heart,
the heart of mine dying.

that being without you means half of me is missing.

who's gonna catch me now that I've begun to fall.

you can't leave!

I've been mother earth and the goddess of nature,
I've been a harpe, a demon, a witch, a ghost,
Been to the past the present and the future,
and whats the one thing that still matters most?

So what's worse?
Me going now,
or you going first?

Does it matter, cause it's already done,
and theres nothing left that I can do.

because it already belonged to you!

First Time

This emotion raptures sacred parts of me
I so afraid, the words I cannot speak
Though in order for you to really see
I have to open up and let you in
So how do I express without paper and pen
How I really feel deep within

It was the first time I told you I love you
The first time I knew what love really meant
The first time I knew sparks could fly
And a burning signal could be sent
It was the first time I was really pushed away
And traveling down the road I went
You sent me away, I couldn’t stay
And my first time I wasted on you

So I wrote out my feelings in words
In a note I handed you my heart
But you kept it and said nothing
And love now could never end or start
So I leave behind
Lies I told myself my first time

It was the first time I told you I love you

The Dreamer Part 2

I Have A Dream
said the girl with the big brown eyes
she dreamt of distant shores
beyond the realms of her tries
places so far away
that if you didn't know where to look
you'd be lost
like a song without the hook
all her friends hated her for they thought
that behind the veil of the worn and the distraught
lay the secret to happy days
for fate can work in mysterious ways
and as they slumbered peacefully
hoping for a brighter tomorrow
she knew better than to believe in the lie
and she laughed at her pain and sorrows
because the sun dies some more every passing day
and every coming tomorrow is gray
and so she set out with her head held high
on the yellow-brick road she would fly
but there's a very long way to go
and with the bumps and the holes, it is often too slow
when the gods told her she had better give up
she retorted that she didn't need their love
or the love of her fellow men in this world
and in the dead sky darkness and fear swirled
it was then that she came upon a nugget of gold
and she held it to her heart, lest it grow cold
and then she knew the true meaning of joy
it was like when she had played with the toys
years ago when she was five
it was the first time she had felt so alive
in a world of her own
she was the sun and the moon
laughing and crying she had danced
in the lap of the flaming june
but the fleeting memories are no more than ghosts of a fictitious past
rippling with a peripheral passion that does not last
and so she laughed in the face of the angel of death
she said I am stronger than the others I bet
and when the sky crackled with a violent fury
and the souls on the yellow-brick road entwined
she felt all alone
she felt like she had lost her mind
but time is a tricky traveler
never too fast never too slow
holding back for nobody
showing you the only way you can go
but she will rise again
from the ashes of yesterday she will grow
the power of dreams driving her
like a river she will flow
like she has all her life
resilient and strong
with the core of utter purity
she had never known a wrong
and then the clouds part and she opens her eyes
its like looking from the highest mountaintop
the rhythm gets louder
and the pain begins to fade till it stops
and there looms in front of her the gates to Emerald City
she is a survivor
the power of three times three
shimmering lights descend from the heavens
showering her in all their might
her aura is radiant - it is alive and it is bright
Dreams can be powerful tools
to help you find your way
like they helped the girl with the big brown eyes
find her way today.

empath, i have so many poems in my head and in my heart right now. i think i need to work through some things in my mixed up self--and i promise i will post again. meanwhile, i'm loving everything you do.
