i agree but i never get bored watching holly cause she is such a great actress i mean how compelling was it to see her die next to prue i mean that scene always gets me sad I'm wondering whether it was Prue's feelings for the guy or the fact that she was convinced he was an innocent that she was so adamant about saving him. We don't even know how much she liked the guy either. That was the weak point of that storyline though. Although, it brought back some ancient season one vibe between Phoebe and Prue. It also showed how Prue's pride would so often get in the way of her common sense--when she was determined to save someone, she was going to save that person or ELSE! And that or ELSE often meant Piper coming close to dying, since Holly did over-the-top drama like dying so well. I got bored with them all dying so often--you always knew they'd come back. All but Prue.

I didn't like Shane either. He looked scary, and looked like a demon even though he wasn't.

Billie was a tad irritating to me, her voice kinda scratchy.
The Seer (Debi Moore) not Charisma (even though all I could seem to flashback on was Buffy & Angel as ordelia) man she really irritated me. Can't really say why that particular Seer was annoying though just know defientely didn't like her.

1. Billie: She was a cheap knockoff of Prue. (i.e. The TK powers, the martial arts, the "projection" power.) Not to mention, all of her "super power" came out of no where!
2. Wyatt: He had god-like power. He was more powerful than the Charmed Ones, who were supposed to be the most powerful witches to ever live, and all that power was in one being. A boy, no less, who took the focus away from the women on the show. (And, with the introduction of the Wyatt storyline in S5, everything turned all fluffy bunnies and went downhill ever since.)

Since this is extending (or seemingly) to all characters, I think I'll go and list a few myself. Essentially, all the Charmed Ones have been irritating. You'd be lying if you haven't been bugged by Piper's desire for a normal life, Phoebe's search for men, Prue's pride or Paige's impulses. However, of the three, I really find myself grinding my teeth with Phoebe. She's a bad decision maker and yet she's supposed to give advise. Personally, Paige is the better suited columnist but whatever. Phoebe often lets men get in the way of her Charmed life and she can't let destiny take its course. Although, I will say that a couple guest stars who really irked me had to be season two's Jenny and "That Old Black Magic"'s Kyle. Jenny was poorly introduced and really felt forced. It was like they were trying to give us another sister we didn't want. She was young and did not fit into Charmed at all. Although, it seemed that the producers just wanted characters in the show. I truly wonder when they introduce men on this show, who they intended to be their love interest. It was clear with both Dan and Leo, Phoebe held attractions for them both but instead they both went to Piper. Again with Cole, a possible Prue relationship was there. Anyway let's move on to Kyle (of TOBM). He was "The Chosen One" with what seemed like a Buffy knock off. You don't use the term "Chosen One" after Buffy. It's like a rule. Anyway, so this kid is all angsty and wasn't pulled off accurately to what a teenager is like. He was awkward and useless really. That post was utter perfection, and I just had to bless it. I agree. All 4 of the Charmed Ones can be irritating at times. But, a character that really irks me is The Seer. (Season 4's Debbi Morgan) I really can't stand her, I don't know why though.

Amen! Magic school might not have been a character, but it was *very* irritating. It was *so* very much of a ripoff of Harry Potter, and after so many people grumbling about Charmed stealing stuff from Buffy and Angel, the last thing the show needed was to have it accused of ripping off another supernatural franchise. When all you can do is rip off other shows, it's time to call quits. I also hated magic school because it took away from The Book of Shadows. Up to that season, The Book was almost as much a part of the family as the sisters or Kit. After magic school turned up, the sisters would go there to research stuff rather than research The Book. When Leo died in the carcrash Vayos con Leos, did ANYONE really think that Piper wouldn't get him back? Or when she lost him AGAIN in Forever Charmed (she shouldn't have gotten him back the first time, since with both her and Billie surviving, the battle was a draw, but she just got him back so he could go time-travelling with her )? That's what I meant by dying becoming very, very boring on this show. You knew they'd be back. Even Chris. He came back in both S7 & S8, and as someone said, he came back as a baby--popular characters meant nothing to Kern if it didn't fit into his plot ideas. I would've prefered a season finale where we honestly were left wondering--did someone die or didn't they--like if we hadn't seen the sisters and Leo walking away from the explosion at the end of S7 or if we hadn't seen Piper and Billie survive at the end of Kill Billie, Vol 2. It makes for more suspense and more drama. I actually like the idea of Magic School and thought it was interesting, but it was supposedly "protected from demons" when some form of demon ALWAYS got there. And in the end, it became the demon's home. so Magic School did suck, but it could've been better if they would've stuck to the whole "protected from demons" thing.

The elders got to me. They were at first suppose to be in control and good and they ended up not knowing what was actually good for everyone and what wasn't. Being "Elders" and all you would think they would have been smarter.
Cole also got to me. He was evil and should have been vanquished a long time before they actually did it.

To to the aside about the sisters taking some guy's side, Prue did it in Wrestling with Demons and it nearly got Piper killed (one of the many times she was mortally wounded or killed outright). I didn't really see Prue as taking the guy's side. I just saw it as Prue protecting an innocent, who just happen to be an ex-boyfriend, whom she didn't seem to have any lingering feelings for at all.

They weren't supposed to be villains. They weren't evil beings, just not very good at allowing free will. Was I the only person who thought the avatar storyline was interesting? Good point, and she hadn't even seen the guy for years. Something that did irritate me was the writers' insistance on making Prue always always right. That episode is a perfect example. While Phoebe was wrong for the Cole thing, it was ok for Prue to risk all three of their lives for a guy. But the Charmed Ones are always risking their lives for any innocent, be it a man, woman, or baby. It's no difference. Also, the Bane thing was just a stand alone episode. The Cole storyline lasted for a couple of seasons, giving plenty of room for a storyline with many twists and turns with Phoebe's demonic love interest. Plus, Prue is not always right. She was wrong about the guy in the "Painted World" episode. She thought he was an innocent. Phoebe was right about Evita in the "Fourth Sister" episode. Phoebe was right about Victor, their dad, in "Thank You For Not Morphing." So, Prue is not always right. Phoebe was right about Clay, her ex=boyfriend, in the "Feats Of Clay" episode, and Prue was wrong about him.

All 4 sisters were somewhat irritating at times.
Prue sometimes seemed to believe that she was invincible and was too strong to handle anything.
Piper complained a lot.
Phoebe's obsession with guys can get annoying.
And along with Paige's ignorance.
However, they are still the 4 flawed charmed ones that I love.

I found all the younger charecters they brought in to be the most annoying. Jenny/Wyatt/Chris/Billie all ended up annoying me.

The "everyone lives happily ever after" and the rush to make sure that Phoebe and Paige both got married irritated the crap out of me, but this is about characters, not situations, so... Everyone knows that once Prue was gone, Piper irritated the crap out of me, the b*tch. Enough said. Freebie/PhoeME irritated the crap out of me with her looking for her daughter and looking at guys as sperm donors and not much else. Leo irritated the crap out of me when he let Piper walk all over him. Chris irritated the crap out of me because he taught the sisters that ends justify the means--wrong things done for the right reasons were now OK. Paige irritated the crap out of me in Season 6 when she suddenly morphed into a ditzy Valley Girl. Drake irritated the crap out of me during the Robin Hood adventures, but then I loved him in the later episodes for bringing my Phoebs back for a couple episodes. Dan irritated the crap out of me when he was such a sore loser, although I also thought that Piper should've chosen him (although I *didn't* at the time) Prue irritated the crap out of me when she'd start feeling sorry for herself and when she let her pride get in the way. Cole irritated the crap out of me when he was stalking Phoebe--I wish he'd stayed gone after they vanquished him the first time. The Elders irritated the crap out of me during S7 when they were more demonic than the demons! Brody irritated the crap out of me when he was so obsessive about the Avatars Paige irritated the crap out of me when she turned her back on her sisters to be with Brody the way Phoebe irritated the crap out of me when she turned her back on her sisters to be with Cole or be with Coop. The Avatars irritated the crap out of me when they changed from the "balance between good and evil" Avatars of S4 into the "let's get rid of good and evil by taking away everyone's free will" Avatars of S7 Compared with these, no, Billie didn't really irritate me that much! The *idea* of Billie irritated me more than she did. I know what you're asking yourself--if so many main characters irritated me so much, why did I keep watching the show? Because despite their flaws, or maybe due to their flaws, I loved the main characters so very much during its first three-and-a-half seasons (up to when Cole took in the Hollow) that I always had to see what was going to happen, always looking for the characters that I fell in love with during those seasons and who every-now-and-then would pop back up. Only Paige changed for the best by changing back into Paige; the rest of all of my favorite characters were ruined. I really admire your honesty on these boards. You know that all the main characters aren't great, and I like that. I agree with you on some terms as well. Piper never irritated me as bad as you, but there were times when I just wanted her to zip it. And yes, in the later seasons phoebe just threw men away like napkins. She must've got it from grams. "Men are utensils" Leo never really irritated me, but sometimes he was just too nice and was always so "you can do this if you believe" and it was kind of sickening. Chris irritated me a lot, however i did understand where he was coming from, but really. He is onnnneeee whiny whitelighter. I'm being honest when I say Paige never irritated me. I thought being ditzy was her thing, and I liked it. It gave the charmed ones kind of comedy, and I know some people don't like it, but I do. I never had any problems with Drake. Dan irritated me with his trust issues. I mean, he always had them, even before the little love triangle started to kick in. Now with Prue, she's my least favorite out of the 4 sisters, but I've always had this soft spot for her so not much irritated me with her, there were just little things. However, she was awfully annoying in Sin Francisco, in my opinion. I couldn't agree with you more on Cole though. The first vanquish was perfect. Everything about it. The elders.. they just irritate me period. I agree with you on Brody. I never minded him, but that was a bit much. And I didn't find Billie irritating either. I already said I couldn't stand The S4 Seer, but another character I despise is Jack Sheridan (S2)
