A lot of fans think any bad guy that made the sisters look bad was irritating (with the major exception of Cole...). I definitely don't. She (like Zankou) was among one of my favorite characters, too - much more than S3-S8 Phoebe, S6-8 Piper, S2-8 Leo, S5 Cole, Early S1/Late S3 Prue, S5-7 Paige, or S4 Grams.

You're exactly right, Iamthesun. Had they decided to give up their powers and their destiny in "Witch Way Now?" especially after suffering both Prue's death and the whole mess with Cole and Phoebe, that would be one thing.I wish they had. I really do. So do I. That's how/when the show should've ended.

If that's why you count her as "irritating", you have a different definition than I do. She was so deliciously evil! Nothing irritating about that. Now the fact that she was so much smarter than Cole or the Source or the Charmed Ones, yes, that can be irritating.
Just remember that irritating isn't the same as hate!

Characters who irritate me... 1.) Kyle Brody - Soo whiny about the Avatars and his parents. He was acting like he was the only one whose lost parents.. HELLO EARTH TO KYLE! Piper and Phoebe lost their Mom, Prue, and Grams and Paige Parents died in a car accident! 2.) Inspector Cortez - The way he was talking to Darryl in "Charmed Again Part 2" was just soo annoying and then when he basically implied that Piper and Phoebe might have killed Prue! I wish Cole kept him in the Underworld/Hell! 3.) Chris Halliwell - He was just such a little brat for most of his time on Charmed. He broke up his parents marriage and then when it was inconvenient to him wants them back together! They wouldn't have been separated if you didn't meddle! 4.) Dan - Such a sore loser! Piper did not want you, get over it dude! 5.) Phoebe Halliwell - She was just soo obsessed with getting married and having a baby, I mean seriously calm down! She was selfish, mean (especially to Cole), and just down right spiteful sometimes.. 6.) Prue Halliwell - She was prideful, which ultimately lead to her death... 7.) Brad Kern - I know not a Charmed character, but definitely deserves to be on this list. Butchered Charmed and Murdered Prue. The True Source of All Evil and deserves to vanquished..

I liked that she was evil, villains make some of the best characters. It's just that she was always there finding a way to get into Cole's head, and like you said, always outsmarting him, that's what got on my nerves. I don't hate her, actually I wouldn't say she irritated me..more exasperated me! But I guess that's a good thing, she definitely wasn't a boring character! Kriswyatthalliwell~ I wish Cole had left Cortez in the Underworld to hahaa..But Dan never irritated me.

Dan never irritated me because he wouldn't have been a sore loser if Piper had been honest with him - she irritated me with the way she kept him on a string and wouldn't tell him the family secret (the same way Prue irritated me when she wouldn't tell Andy) much more than Dan ever irritated me - I still think Piper would've been the happiest Charmed One on the show had she married Dan and had a normal life rather than marrying Leo - Dan could give her something Leo never could - a normal life - not until she ruined him by making him a whimpy human, the same way Phoebe ruined Cole when she made *him* a whimpy human rather than loving the angel/demon they were. As for Cortez - no, Cole should've never brought him to the Underworld - exposing magic like that?? Bad Cole! Bad, bad, BAD Cole! And bad, bad, BAD Grams for suggesting they use magic to get rid of him!! Most of all, bad, bad, bad, BAD Kern for making them do that!! Leo using his magic dust on him would've made a hellova lot more sense!

Wrong person to blame for murdering Prue. Shannen was fired because she bad-mouthed Aaron Spelling, leading him to say that he never wanted her to appear in one of his productions again, the real reason why she was never asked to come back for the series finale. Blaming Kern for that is like blaming Shax for killing Prue rather than blaming the Source who ordered Shax to do it. Kern is Shax; Spelling was the Source. Also, the WB had a lot more to do with murdering Charmed with them wanting Charmed to save their dying network by being all about sex and for constantly slashing the budget. Again, Kern was just the hatchet man. Now to blame Kern for being the Demon of Inconsistency....OH, YES!!!

I agree actually, all Piper wanted was a normal life and yeah, Dan could have been perfect for her. But Piper did have her reasons for not telling Dan about her being a witch..I guess I just find it hard to comprehend that Piper would string him along intentionally as she was portrayed as such quite and nervous character in the beginning. Leo as a wimpy human? YES I totally see that..IMO, he's always been one..just in the sense of not wanted to get involved in arguments with the sisters and stuff. Cole became more vulnerable when he lost his powers, but I wouldn't call him wimpy.
Ha yes Cole was taking a chance with what he did wasn't he! But he's always been impulsive like that, plus Cortez needed to be taught a lesson in my view!

No, the one who needed a lesson was Cole - if he was going to love Phoebe, he had to learn to curb his impulses and not expose her and her sisters.
No, Piper was totally just using Dan - she didn't love him, just the normal life she thought he represented, the reason she never told him the family secret. Unfortunately she thought she loved Leo - like most Halliwells, thinking herself in love with the person who was the most wrong for her because they didn't know how to love, only how to use, as taught to them by Grams.
Fortunately for Paige, she's a Matthews, not a Halliwell.

He did, but he was trying to help..and taking Cortez to the Underworld did that, as well as release his anger. Piper liked Dan and I don't believe she was using him..and yes she was drawn to the life he had, she wanted that. She may not have been head-over-heels for him, but she had feelings for him. Are you saying Leo didn't know how to love? Why do you think that? Grams taught them to be strong women and maybe it was Grams who used people..but I don't believe Piper used Leo. Yeah they had their troubles like any couple, but I think they were well matched.

Only if you liked him as a whimp rather than as a whitelighter, and if you truly thought he, an ex-whitelighter with no powers, could truly be happy trying to each magical children who could use their magic on him. That's one of many reasons why I think that "Forever Charmed" is just Piper's delusion as she dies after the explosion in "Kill Billie, Vol 2".

What lesson was Cortez taught? That powerful magic was afoot which he shouldn't have stepped his foot into? He said himself when he caught the sisters with the family ghosts that his experiences as a cop had led him to suspect the existence of evil magic already. That hurting the Halliwells was a bad move? As far as he was concerned they were the bad ones. He thought he was pursuing justice. And Cole threatening to leave him melting in purgatory didn't exactly do anybody's reputation any favors. All Cortez was "taught" was that these were dangerous evil freaks of nature that needed to be stopped before they killed anyone else like they (in his mind) killed their sister and that doctor. He only became more determined to bring them down. It took them healing him from the Source almost killing him—pretty much the exact opposite of Grams' and Cole's ideas for "help" at the time—for him to see that they were the good guys. That's when he backed off.

Do you know what Shannen said to piss him off etc.? I mean it makes more sense because I remember Holly and Brian were at a comicon I think Chicago and Holly said "actually Brad and Shannen got along great."

But he was a demon and wasn't thinking with his head.

Most irritating characters.
Leslie St. Claire - He served no purpose on the show. His character did nothing to progress the storyline of season 7 further, nor did he help advance Phoebe's character development. All that screen time he had could've been given to a more relevant character like Kira or the sisters. Nick Lachey in the acting department isn't that great either. His character irritated because he bought nothing productive to the table.
Kylie Brody - I really don't know what the hell Paige saw in this guy. Near every episode he is in he says the same thing over and over. "I have to stop the Avatars" "The Avatars are evil" "They killed my parents" He became one of the most annoying characters ever. His obsession led to his downfall in more ways than 1. It led to his death, and it prevented me from being a fan. Didn't enjoy him at all. His obsession irritated me along with his repetitive dialogue almost in all his episodes he appears.
Agent Murphy - I can't stand this guy. Another useless character that served no purpose at all. He should've been a 1 time guest star to help cover up the sister's fake death and thats it. Why did he have to be a recurring character? It irritated me how he tried being relevant in the season by recruiting the sisters to do his bidding. He also tried to be useful by aiding in some situations but there was really no reason for him to hang around in the first place.
Piper Halliwell - I'm a huge Piper fan but I'm not delusional. Piper irritated the hell out of me near the end of season 8 when she pretty much decided murdering Christy was their only resolution. She didn't even consider other options nor did she consider the feelings of her friend Billy. She wasn't a stranger. They both had emotional bondings together. It was a moment where I wanted to yell at the screen and say "Piper! WTF are you thinking?"
Phoebe Halliwell - Yes Phoebe! She irritated me all of season 5 with her self centered attitude and putting all blame on Cole for what happened in season 4. Whatever.
Paige Matthews - She Irritated me in season 6 when she became a total b**ch for no reason. Her so called quest for independence was selfish. She should've focused more on developing a deeper relationship with her sisters further other than continuing to distance herself because she didn't want to deal with them.
Prue Halliwell - She irritated me the first half of season 1 with her nasty hypocritical attitude.
Chris Perry - Just staring at him irritated me.

Hehehehe, yes, iamthesun - I think EVERYONE irritated us at one time or another.... QUEENPIPER, your post reminds me of mine: The "everyone lives happily ever after" and the rush to make sure that Phoebe and Paige both got married irritated the crap out of me, but this is about characters, not situations, so... Everyone knows that once Prue was gone, Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper irritated the crap out of me, the b*tch. Enough said. Freebie/PhoeME irritated the crap out of me with her looking for her daughter and looking at guys as sperm donors and not much else. I'm still certain that she's a closet Lesbian who hasn't admitted it. Leo irritated the crap out of me when he let Piper walk all over him. Chris irritated the crap out of me because he taught the sisters that ends justify the means--wrong things done for the right reasons like murdering non-magicals or fellow witches were now OK. Dan irritated the crap out of me when he was such a sore loser, although I also think that Piper should've chosen him - he (or Henry) could've made her so much happier than Leo ever did - she SO didn't deserve to have an angel for a husband...had she, he'd still be one. Prue irritated the crap out of me when she'd start feeling sorry for herself and when she let her pride get in the way, the reason she died. Cole irritated the crap out of me when he was stalking Phoebe--I wish he'd stayed gone after they vanquished him the first time. The Elders irritated the crap out of me during S7 when they were more demonic than the demons - but then they irritated me once they changed from the THEY of S1 and S2 (who did *NOT* irritate me, even if they irritated Piper because they wouldn't let her do what she wanted just because she wanted to, which irritated me) to the Elders of S3. Letting Piper and Leo get married just because they saved the Elders' asses was the worst - it let Piper do whatever she wanted to do just because she wanted to, to hell with the consequences. Brody irritated the crap out of me when he was so obsessive about the Avatars Paige irritated the crap out of me when she turned her back on her sisters to be with Brody the way Phoebe irritated the crap out of me when she turned her back on her sisters to be with Cole or be with Coop. The Avatars irritated the crap out of me when they changed from the "balance between good and evil" Avatars of S4 into the "let's get rid of good and evil by taking away everyone's free will" Avatars of S7 I know what you're asking yourself--if so many main characters irritated me so much, why did I keep watching the show? Because despite their flaws, or maybe due to their flaws, I loved the main characters so very much during the early years that I always had to see what was going to happen, always looking for the characters that I fell in love with during those seasons and who every-now-and-then would pop back up, like my Phoebs popping up in "Show Ghouls" - the first time since she lied to Prue about vanquishing Cole. Only Paige changed for the best by changing back into Paige; the rest of all of my favorite characters were ruined and stayed ruined.
