As long as we went off on a tangent, I've been meaning to ask you - where is your signature from? I recognize Cole but I don't recognize the woman ripping the picture. Who is she and what is the picture from?

Did a reverse image search and found the DeviantArt in question here. Furthermore, I believe it was actually moreso influenced by the cover/promotional art for Japanese pop singer Namie Amuro's album Past<Future. |

Still doesn't answer the question. Where did the picture of Alyssa come from because I swear it's a different person. And I'm still talking about the picture in Cyma's signature, not the comic cover - which *does* look like Phoebe. The woman in Cyma's has totally different eyes and nose, and for all of her hair changes, I've never seen Phoebe's and/or Alyssa's like that.

Actually…"influenced by" is probably the wrong expression. More like outright ripped off. I'm getting Veila (the Deviant) tried to edit Alyssa's face into Namie, because the hair and hands are Namie from the original source hands down. What picture of Alyssa she may have used for this I have no idea. |

AH! I didn't have time to check out the picture last night but now that I have, I see what you mean. It's one of those morphed pictures. But I still don't think Phoebe's face is Alyssa's. The Deviant did a horrible job. Prueturner does much better morphed pictures.

I think you're all looking way too into this, Piper loved Paige, or should I say, she grew to love Paige, no one can expect a bond to form overnight, but I think that by about season 6 maybe even 5 Piper had accepted Paige as a sister and was comfortable with her being in her life. We probably are, but what is your evidence so to speak? The more I rewatch, the colder I feel that Piper is towards Paige. If anything, I'd say they are closest in Season Four. Moments such as Paige's wedding could have been enhanced so much more with a bit more Piper/Paige affection. |

I notice Piper is sarcastic and playful towards Paige season 5 and onwards. And so is Paige. In season 8, surprisingly Paige seems like the oldest sibling incharge of both Piper and Phoebe. Especially when they both were arguing over Billie and Christy dilemma. But it's a shame there never were 'deep' moments between Piper and Paige like we saw in S4. |

I'm not sure how realistic it would be for Piper to treat Paige like a sister, or even have a great, deep bond with her: they didn't grow up together, and Prue was Piper's best friend; Paige is, somewhat, Prue's replacement, so it makes sense for Piper to act a little distant towards Paige. Probably one of the reasons they were close to each other in season 4 was because of Phoebe: they were both united in wanting to save Phoebe from Cole and the Seer, and to do that they had to stick together and trust each other.

Well, I'm currently rewatching the show myself and I'm about half way through season 6, and Piper seems very comfortable with Paige, playful almost, they tend to be quite sarcastic towards each other, like an older sister teasing a younger sister, I think season 4 was the adjustment period and by the end I'd say Piper had accepted Paige. And as for Paige's wedding, I mean, at that point Piper was mindlessly trying to get Leo back not to mention the day was about Paige and Henry, not Piper and how much she loved Paige as a sister, perhaps she was remembering her own wedding and didn't want to be the big sister who rode off on a motorcycle so to speak. As in, she wanted the attention to be completely on Paige, like a loving big sister would act. I think you're confusing coldness with comfort, Piper doesn't act any different around Paige than she does around Phoebe in the later seasons, she doesn't treat her any differently to Phoebe or Prue, I take that as a sign of acceptance. |

I take your points on board actually. For me there were just stand out scenes such as "Styx Feet Under" where Paige dies, and Piper seems all too happy to take her to the afterlife. I'm just wishful thinking perhaps, there is just something for me about Holly's acting from S6-8 that is a lot harder, colder and emotionless. Maybe this is the development of Piper's character, hardened by Prue's death - I missed the panicky Piper I guess.

What's the point of demanding that Piper truly accept Paige, when she couldn't even regard Phoebe as close as she did Prue?

I think Piper and Paige's relationship was perfectly fine. They fought far less than Phoebe and Paige or even Phoebe and Piper did. They worked together well the majority of the time. Once Piper got over her "you're replacing Prue!" stuff (which didn't seem to take long), I never saw any reason to think they didn't have a good relationship.
So yes, I do believe Piper accepted Paige. I think the problem is, people expect her to act like they grew up together. As much as she may accept and love her, she's only ever known Paige as an adult and they've only known each other for 5+ years. It's not going to be exactly the same... but I think they have a good bond despite that.
As for showing affection/sisterly bonding, I'd say that happened far less between all of them in later seasons. But nevertheless, a few examples:
- When Kyle dies and Paige snaps out of her Utopia brainwash, Piper holds Paige while she cries.
- Piper gives Paige marital advice (ironic as that may be) when Paige is worried about her engagement.
- Piper opens up to Paige about her reproductive problems in season 4.
- Piper gives Paige credit for keeping the family together in Sam I Am and calls her "The reason I'm still standing here"
- Y Tu Mummy Tambien. Piper gets very upset thinking she will be forced to choose between Phoebe and Paige, despite the fact that as Cole said: she'd only known her a couple of years.
Phoebe may have been more touchy-feely, but I personally think she treated Paige far worse than Piper did post-early season 4. When they weren't tag teaming her that is.

I think people have this weird thing where they expect Piper and Paige to be skipping around the manor holding hands and singing children's rhymes with each other.
Some great examples mentioned above from p3nathan show that they cared for each other.
Just because Piper wasn't gushing about Paige for 5 years doesn't mean she didn't love her like a sister.

Exactly. Oh I forgot a big example: Piper named her son after Paige! What more can she do to show she cares?  Like I said, as far as being affectionate towards each other goes, I think that was more a general issue in later seasons that came from a lack of focus on the sisterly aspects. If we're going to compare Piper-Paige to Piper-Phoebe... how many times did Piper and Phoebe show affection towards each other season 5 onward? I don't recall many moments between them either really. |
