Easily the demons, even the upper levels, don't keep up: only Cronyn knew about Wyatt's prophecy, only Jeremy was keeping an eagle eye on the sisters
The first two years, the Charmed Ones save innocenst and deal with magical creatures, more and more powerful until they draw the attenziond of the power elite of Evil, in the successive two years the sisters'll live appalling and agonizing days After the storm there is the calm, after dealing with the Source I believe they were no longer so afraid of the magical evil creatures, they'ld, as in the early years, to take up their lives The power vacuum in the underworld would allow a life according to the old schem: innocent in dangerous- Phoebe's vision - rescue and way back to their occupations-without Leo's mess with the Avatars

Kill Billie Vol 2 ANGEL OF DESTINY: (sadly) The battle is over, though not as I expected. Forever Charmed The Angel of Destiny appears with Leo. He and Piper exchange a smile.) Piper: Okay, hang on a second. You’re not gonna take him away again right? Angel of Destiny: No, this is the way the battle was supposed to end all along, and it’s over. Congratulations. Leo wasn't destined to die or to get frozen, the Angel was speaking of the outcome of the battle The sisters were destined to be the Charmed Ones, but this didn't necessarily involve the duty to defeat the Source or the Triad, they were free to choose what to do: in theory, seeing that they were both the Triad that the Source to attack the sisters I like Sliding Doors movie and I like to think that several parallel realities'ld be The Angel said that "this was how it was supposed to end all along" both in reference to the Ultimate Power being defeated AND Leo not being taken away again by her, which suggests Leo was supposed to be frozen/taken away as the alternative would've been him getting killed. The Angel of Destiny was very clear, she resolved to command to the Angel of Death to put Leo on his list, because she need to bring sisters about enough pain and motivation to take on their forthcoming battle The Angel of Death warns Piper precisely because he knows that the death of Leo is a stretch

It'ld be nice if we could talk about Charmed and not the writers, why are you so hung up about Kern and Burge?
In a board where fans talk of Charmed and all seem to live serene, perhaps because unaware of Brad Kern existence,I found an interesting discussion
In both Morality Bites and Chris Crossed we discover that the magic has been unveiled, apparently because of two characters very tied together: Phoebe and Wyatt It'ld be a coincidence that the two born close to the Nexus are both the reason of the discovery of the magic, or it may be a Nexus effect
Earth, fire, water, wood and metal, the five elements of Taoism, can generate four cycles, of generation, exploitation, destruction or control, revolt For this reason only the balance of these five elements can lead to a perfect situation, but it's a balance hard to keep and the interaction with the negative energies of Phoebe - frantic for her friend death- and of Wyatt - completely mad for his mother death- with the five elements of existence could bring the start of the cycle of destruction
The separation between magical and non-magical world is destroyed although with different consequences In Morality Bites, Nathaniel Pratt triggered witch hunts and witches and people unjustly accused are hiding in places similar to the atomic shelters of the science fiction of the '50 In Chris Crossed we see signs of destruction in San Francisco but the museum visitors seem calm and not at all frightened by the presence of demons, only magic seems to be prohibited
The difference may arise from the fact that Phoebe loses control, perhaps overwhelmed by the feelings of the people due to her empathy and magic is discovered Wyatt maybe knowingly breaks the secret sure he'll keep the situation under control, his control (see Chris:He picked on the world, Phoebe)

A jump of four-five years would make more credible the story of the friendship with Billie and Christy, giving more time to develop it
They would also have to introduce the story of Victor who has to pretend to be the children's guardian and his relations with the Elders, after all many of them were worried about Wyatt, how could they manage to leave his education to his grandfather?

Time travel are fascinating and can create complex paradoxes
Summarizing
In Morality Bites, somehow the sisters have taken a different path, creating a second reality In The Three Face of Phoebe, Phoebe maps a new future out by choosing to marry Cole In It's a Bad Bad Bad World, Leo and Chris make another timeline discovering the guilt of Gideon's guilt
I don't count the alternative realities created by the Avatars, artificial realities I don't count Forever Charmed also because the timeline in which Phoebe and Paige die is erased before it can exist

If Charmed had been only about battles between good witches and demons and warlocks I'ld abstain from watching it Instedd, I was attracted by the sisters' personal lives, their internal conflicts between their new, un‑asked for responsibility to defeat evil and their desire to be normal, ordinary people again with normal, ordinary lives. It was about their realistic feelings and emotions that I'ld relate to I am not for soap opera or flawless, without- doubt, always stouthearted heroines
The first time that Phoebe trusts to really fall in love, she discovers that she is madly in love with the demon in charge of killing her and her sisters and she loves him enough to know that Cole doesn't lie when he claims that he'll give up his task Phoebe trusts him but knows that Prue and Piper have no reason to trust Belthazor, so she lies to her sisters, she is lost, she needs to take time, to understand Then she opens up with Leo, searches for information on Cole's family, in the end she comes clean about what she did with Piper, it's so easy to talk to Piper
Phone behaved like a normal girl, who is free to lie if she think it's right at that moment: the Three Laws of Robotics are not a requirement for humans

I have a theory regarding Prue, I think in this timeline she never got over the loss of Andy. If we look at Prue between seasons 2-3, she never really found another love, no stable boyfriend. I believe in this timeline she just gave up. Focused on her career, figured she'd let the Halliwell line continue through Piper and Phoebe. Maybe thought that after losing her soulmate there was no one else for her. And seeing as how she was the president of Bucklands, and had opened offices in several other countries, she probably spent most of her time in those countries setting up other offices, whilst Piper was focusing on her marriage and children, Phoebe took justice into her own hands. I think in this timeline the sisters grew apart, there bond weakened. Each sister focusing on a different path. Then when Phoebe was arrested that probably bought Prue and Piper back together in an effort to save their sister. Exactly what I think for this reason I quoted Witch Trial Phoebe: What are you saying, Prue? Look, if we don’t get to him, we stop being witches. Prue: Exactly. Which means we stop risking our lives all the time. Which means we stop watching the people we love lose theirs. Prue withdraws into herself, focusing on her job, and walks away from the magic, just stepping in when the Power of Three is needed Prue's attitude affects Piper, that already was thinking of a life without a lot of death in it Piper also distanced herself from her role as Charmed One with two major effect: her marriage with Leo fails, Phoebe remains alone as witch Phoebe has a passive personality, less reactive than that of her big sisters, she hasn't the profile of those who'ld kill overwhelmed by anger, probably Phoebe faced alone her duties as witch, alone the increase of her powers Empathy is a power difficult to control, it's easy to imagine Phoebe following the trial for the murder of her friend. absorbing the resentment of those present, friends, relatives, before the Cal Green's techical acquittal: as shown in Used Karma, empathy can become an offensive power Plagued by the feelings of hatred of the present, Phobe lost control of her power The binding of the three sisters is essential not only for the access to the Power of Three, but also for their lives

Morality Bites is a a milestone for many fans, immune to any kind of criticism I think we should rather talk about it again
Phoebe: At least I'm paying for my crime.
I can’t stand this claim, almost a glorification of the death penalty, I am against the death penalty, even when someone kills with premeditation, I am unable to accept that a State can order the death
In this case, however, it is clear that Phoebe didn’t have a fair trial, she killed in the grip of rage, in any penal code there is a temporary insanity, in this case, a lack of control of her empathic power No Court’ld deliver a death sentence, indeed Nathaniel isn’t up for justice, only for burning witches
Prue and Piper cannot even hope that Phoebe’s murder will stop the witch hunt, the refuge where Leo lead them is full of innocents and witches on the run, the witch hunt is open, Phoebe is just the beginning Prue and Piper‘ld take Phoebe away, their sister’s sacrifice is useless and undeserved
I love Morality Bites, sneak a peak to the future is fascinating, it was interesting to find that the sisters’s powers would have increased, to see Melinda, to discover a society frightened by the truth about the supernatural world It was interesting to see Prue and Piper 10 years later, to find out Prue’s changes Prue always liked to work, it is one of the first things we know about her: in ten years it seems that the work has become the most important part of her life, more than love and affection Maybe Prue didn't go beyond Andy's death, she failed to move forward emotionally and closed in herself, hunging up on work and success
Witch Trial Phoebe: What are you saying, Prue? Look, if we don’t get to him, we stop being witches. Prue: Exactly. Which means we stop risking our lives all the time. Which means we stop watching the people we love lose theirs.
This would also affect Piper and Phoebe: Piper‘ld distance from the magic - this may explaine the failure of her marriage with Leo-Phoebe’ld be often alone to live her role as witch, without fully share with the sisters the problems caused by her empathy
I cannot, and I don’t want, believe it’ld be a correlation between the incident of the dog and the murder,it would be ridiculous even in a story for preschoolers Different traditions maybe, here in Lugano Nathaniel’ld pay a penality of 600 Francs, it’s a serious thing soiling the road, the sisters with their simple joke would have avoided a charge to Nathaniel
I believe that Morality Bites tell of the original future, a future provoked by an estrangement between the sisters, a difficult relationship with the magic and above all Prue’s emotional closure
With this reading, Morality Bites is my favorite episode of the second season

I Dream of Phoebe it's a funny episode but I believe that you are too much influenced by your disappointment: what'ld be the development of an insecure girl, grown with the syndrome of abandonment, the fear of not being loved, after the killing of a sister and the destruction of the only relationship that she allowed herself to live?

Indeed in Morality Bites Prue looks as a vain and overbearing woman but I think that the maturation process of a person goes on many years and it’s not guaranteed that it should be linear Maybe that was a step to overcome for Pure to be able to become a woman strong but to understand when it's time to stop

I understand your thought and somehow I share it
Phoebe loved Cole without telling apart the human side from the evil, because she knew that never again Cole’ld return to being a mercenary killer, who’ld love a mercenary killer! For this reason I think that the problem was Cole’s human side
Leo is different: he was human, a boy of the 40's Raised by a normal family with the classic morals of that time, Leo wanted to help others, but also to become a doctor, to get married and have children, as it was supposed to do a good guy in the Forties So Leo didn’t encounter difficulties getting back human, he had a wife and two children, he was only taking up an ancient path In addition, Leo had always considered himself as the support of the Charmed One, not the protector of his wife
Cole, respected member of a powerful Brotherhood, feared and reputed demon, was never raised as a human, he wasn’t able to accept to feel helpless, to adapt to social rules If they ‘ld have the time to be a normal couple, without the anxiety of the Source or the bounty hunters, if they’ld plan a future instead of living freewheel, they’ld face these problems and understand if it was a good idea to get married They hadn't the time to stop and think, especially Cole that, even if he hadn't become human, would have wondered if he was willing to live by the rules

I chose the last period because I thought it is very easy to love the young Phoebe, full of enthusiasm and impulses, so carefree, but we aren't in our twenties forever, we grow, we face practical difficulties, failures, wrong loves, sorrows and anguish
The last Phoebe fulfilled the transition between late adolescence and adulthood, she has become a sensible, serene woman and witch, I liked her in the last season

I truly liked Chick Flick, Morality Bites and Apocalypse, Not
I know that Es'll disapprove but I'ld like more Morality Bites without that sentence, the wrong thing done for the right reason is still the wrong thing,in my opinion too moralist and unrealistic Besides, I am against the death penalty

It wasn't just Cole's "humanity" that loved Phoebe. He loved Phoebe . . . period. Regardless of his species. And the show has already proven that other evil beings were capable of falling in love or familial love. Someone's moral compass doesn't determine whether he/she is capable of love or not. I agree, Cole loved Phoebe and Phoebe loved him, both Cole and Belthazor because they were the same person and Phoebe knew it, in fact, she never was been afraid to Belthazor Their relationship problems were normal relationship problems, with a break of trust absolutely insurmountable: this was the real problem, not Cole's evil side

Let's calm down!
As I told, too often the Cafè looks like an I- hate- Charmed -board Maybe it's because I am European and in the only two board that I follow, both about Lost, we speak of the characters, of the interpretations, of the potential alternative developments, but we care very little about actors and writers
I don't think that Kern was the Evil and Doherty an heroin, I not give a darn for both , I'ld like to talk of Charmed and I think that many members'ld like to talk of it not about Spelling's attitude
So, it's better we calm downand learn to accept other people's ideas, free to love Billie or to worship mermaids and Avatars: we'ld remember that our opinions are not facts and others' opinions are just as valid as ours
