I agree that the pop culture'ld expand to the entire field of visual arts In a nice essay, Camille Paglia put the battle scene between Obi Wan and Anakin among the most powerful visual images of the last century There were series with interessing basic concepts, like Lost with its opposition between Faith and Science Some series talk of problems, generate discussions but this is not a requirement, the base is the entertainment Nothing wrong if Charmed is evaluated as pure entertainment,it's not an educational program, none TV serie has to be it Buffy isn't a philosophical encyclopedia or an emergency manualfor teens in crisis What was I supposed to learn from Buffy, that vampires are sexy? OK, where could I grab one of them? And what is the teachings of Supernatural, never trust the credit cards?
My job is not the television critic so I dn't follow the tide of fantasy series which drown the channels, I carry on following Supernatural for affection for the brothers, Castiel and Crowly (but as Charmed, Supernatural has had bad seasons as 6 and the 7), I followed Buffy, intermittently because I have never been fanatical in the series, I followed Charmed, above all for affection after the sixth season
Now between fantasy series, I am watching only Once Upon a Time, it's fun but what but what'ld teach me? Nothing, I hope, this idea that TV series have to educate people is unsettling
Why I still love to chat about Charmed? Not only for affection, Charmed is full of captivating ideas, original plots never fully explored that made Charmed similar to those coloring books with which the children enjoy to choose and change colors I like the "What if" line, play to analyze or to change, without claiming to be the holder of the true,is relaxing

The "Twice Blessed attention" is yet another urban legend developed by fans around two simple words It will never be used in Charmed because - as you say rightly -it's not a title or a status
I was chatting about it yesterday with a friend from Destined expert in mythology and medieval tradition, and she reminded me that many writers have attended courses at UCLA where the study of mythology and traditions is very thorough
Wyatt was born in special circumstances -Aurora Borealis. the alignment Jupiter, Mars and Saturn in Gemini,- but he was born also in that time of year considered both in Roman and Celtic mythology as a period of balance, between the winter solstice and the spring equinox
In ancient Greece, the first days of February were devoted to Dionysus, twice blessed, god whose natural energy emerged at the end of January. the children born in those days were blessed by the power of fire
In ancient Rome, children born in this period were considered twice blessed because the growing light gave them special healing powers
In the Middle Ages, children born in those days in between the birth of the new light and the balance of light and shadow, were considered unique, blessed with purity
Lorena sent me many examples, but what matters is that in the prophecy twicw blessed is a simple recall to faraway myths

If Alyssa Milano had left and Phoebe died in The Underworld, would it had worked? I am happy it didn't happen, Phoebe is the more complex feminine character in Charmed Her changes are unexpected : lonely girl, rebellious, confused and looking for her own way, the discovery of the magic frees the joyful and generous part of her character She acquires a self-confidence that allows her to fall in love, for the first time The loss of her older sister, her unborn son and the love of her life, like a pendulum take back Phoebe to the starting point: unsure, introvert, intolerant to pressure, looking for her own way again Slowly, Phoebe'll find new self-confidence, new provision to friendship, a new balance: at this point, Coop presence is unnecessary

I had to stop, I finished my lunch break
If Paige's presence is mandatory, I see two ways.
-as west73 wrote, Paige'ld be the big sister of the Charmed Ones, maybe born from a Patty's relationship as a teenager or, more better, Patty and Victor's daughter, kidnapped by some crazy woman directly from the hospital Penny might have erased the memory from the minds of the shocked parents to help them to overcome the grief
-as proposed by sol, Paige'ld come from a different timeline, I like the idea of Patty that runs away from Penny to prevent her from ruining her wedding

My favorite sisters are, in the order: Piper, Phoebe, Prue, Paige Paige unfortunately never was a well-defined characters: troubled teenager but wise twentysomething, she wishes to become a super witch then she wishes a life away from magic, absolutely uncertain about the work - artist? social worker? aspiring cop? teacher?- she is unconvincing as living Whitelighter also
My favorite scenario, consequently, looks alike the original season four
Leo is back in time to save both Prue and Piper Cole and Phoebe escape the attempted of murder by the Source's guards, hiding out in the Underworld to avoid to putting the sisters at risk Prue and Piper live alone, in secret contact with Phoebe, looking for a solution Cole and Phoebe discover that the Source wants to evoke the Void The Charmed One bring back together and destroy the Source Cole absorbs the Source's powers, he thinks that they can help to bring order in the Underworld, to save his father's soul and live safely with Phoebe
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely: Cole starts to change and only Prue realizes it
At this point, two scenarios'ld could open: 1- Phoebe can't be able to believe her sister, she trusts Cole, she becomes pregnant and,she too corrupted by power, she agrees to share the fate of Cole 2-Prue chooses to investigate without telling Phoebe, moves closer to Cole to understand what is happening, too much close, the triangle'll take a lot of problems between the two sisters but will help to give a jolt to Phobe In both cases, Cole becomes completelyand for his choice the Source, I always hated the image of puppet-Cole, manipulated by the Seer

Not having to be afraid that someone'ld kidnapp or kill her children
Not having to check that her sisters are really her sisters and not some evil entity or demon
Not having be afraid that a birthday party or a wedding could be ruined
Not having to work mainly to fix furniture, doors, windows
It seems that the ultimate selfishness is to spend a normal day: let your son to kindergarten sure he'll be there, go shopping without an orbing sister that warns you of a deadly threat, have a tea with friends without a Whitelighter from the future that throws you into an alternate reality, take care of your nightclub without finding it overrun by animals, think about your wedding without adding a picture of your sister that escapes with a biker
Piper has always been ready to save innocents, she only dreamed that this could happen without her life was burned out

Demons : Paul Haas, good looking, smart, an upper level demon with brain and manners Nomed, ambitious, open-minded, at ease in the world of humans The Crone: I am fully convinced she wasn’t eliminated, she was powerful and of high rank
Humans: Derek, I think he’ld be a good partner for Piper Brent, sweet, pleasant, I loved his smile Tyler, Piper promised to keep an eye on him Bianca, If I was Piper, I’ld keep an eye on her also
Elders: Kevin, I hope he ditched them

I think it’ld be better if the sisters had only one power, a power growing over the years as in Morality Bite Ultimately, they were the Power of Three

As Sam’s daughter, Paige‘ld have her orbing telekinetic, to differentiate herself from Prue, without all that orbing power that turned her in a taxilighter
Or, better, she’ld have the orbing ability only in case of extreme danger, a passive power almost working as a defensive I would rather that the ability to orb as the Whitelighters did, was limited to Wyatt and Chris, sons of a Charmed One and not just a Warren witch, because I am sure that the birth of two boys open a new and alternate story

All Hell Breaks Loose is one of my favorite finals
The sisters are already in action, why and when it's not so essential, more likely the doctor is only a bait Cyma is right, Pure's death is interesting and impactful, throughout all the episode Prue seems to run towards the disaster almost consciously, she'ld know that her biggest flaws is her pride, which makes her too reckless I believe she was too tired, she isn't Sydney Bristow, trained since childhood to become a fighting machine, she is an expert in artwork, grew up as a normal girl and she has to face a crazy stalker, some upper level demons sent to kill her and her sisters, the pain of the empathy, the life essence who had taken possession of Piper, the children demons, a powerful warlock, a wrestling with demons to save an old friend, a black marriage in which tried to kill her sisters, a split of her personality, an Angel of Death, a cat- warlock more and more stronge every time it was vanquished,a demon equipped with the seven deadly sins, the Brotherhood, a Banshee...I think it'ld be enough even for Sydney Bristow
She was tired and she made the big mistake to drag Piper out to track down Shax and the big mistake to not stop Phobe in her dangerous attempt to reach Cole
All Hell Breaks Loose"
Piper: But frankly I'm more worried about Phoebe than Shax. We shouldn't have let her go. Prue: Phoebe can take care of herself, Dr. Griffiths can't. (They start walking up the street.) Look, Piper, I've had a bad feeling about this. I've had one all day. If there's one thing I've learned since becoming a witch, is to trust those feelings.
Piper certainly did not help matters. She went agaisnt both Phoebe's trip to find Cole and to Prue’s purpose to leave the Manor to hunt out Shax, but as always, she was accommodating with her sisters's wishes: I think here there is beginnings of the change of Piper's personality
Maybe this is the meaning of Prue's death; the birth of the strong matriarch of the Halliwells'

Phoebe was touching Strife
I like Apocalypse Not: I like Leo, once doubtful towards Elders's directive and independent enough to investigate on his own I like Phoebe's fascinating flirtation with evil,it seemed strange, then, that the more radiant sister'ld be affected by such a charm I like Piper's persistent self-confidence -what had happened to the emotional, shy Piper?-about the possibility of saving Prue I like the trivial appearance of the Four Horsemen, why the Evil has to be frightful, Evil has many faces, some stunning
I like their bond
Such interesting points that I had never considered before. I suppose Cole was as close as Charmed got to portraying a morally ambiguous character, but even then he was pushed back into 'Big Bad' status towards the end of his tenure. They had such a good opportunity to make Phoebe take a good hard look at herself in S5 and recognise her part to play in Cole's undoing, especially her own free decision to become Queen of the Underworld. All this, "the baby made me do it" nonsense just doesn't wash. It actually would've made sense if Phoebe had acknowledged her 'dark side' as this was alluded to several times in S1-3.
IMO, Cole isn't an ambiguous character, he belongs to a demoniac elite which has many similarities with the human world
I liked the Brotherhood of the Thorn, they were smart, stylish, resolute in the conquest of economic power certainly dangerous Cole is a representative member of this elite, he loves to live in human society, he likes expensive clothes, sports cars, elegant houses, as a normal rich and powerful man Instead of obtaining a trophy wife, he falls in love with the most unlikely person, a witch as powerful as naive, to young, too plain for him, but he is in love, and this love drags him to betray his brothers and to look for a new life in the world of men
There is a large discrepancy between dreams and reality, Cole'll have a hard time to adapt himself to the new state but unambiguously, Cole is simply unable to find his way

A huge thank you to the wonderful Parisian that in the night of November 13 bend over backwards for help those who didn't know what to do in the attacked city My cousin, Saskia, in Paris fromr three months for the Erasmus, got lost in the Marais with a friend, the subway was closed, they didn't know how to get home They realized that Parisians were intervening to help, with warnings like: There are no beds, but we welcome you to warm you, comfort you and find a solution or We have beer and coffee, stay with us They have been hosted for some hours then they found a taxi driver who brought them to their home that is near the École vétérinaire d'Alfort, a long journey but he didn't want money Thank you

Es,those quotes show that Phoebe isn't able to talk of her grief. Phoebe doesn't cry, she hides to hug Prue's jacket

All these images don't rob out the fact that
I can't help but think that if Rex had made that comment to the later seasons Phoebe, she'd be out of her clothes and halfway to the bedroom before he could finish the sentence.
is a sexist way of think
PS I am sorry, I have some evening dresses similare to Paige godness dress and on the beach usually I put on swimsuits smaller than the Valkyries costumes: maybe I'ld take myself off the board for indecency

According to occultists, San Francisco form a magic triangle, black magic, with London and Turin
Turin is a frontier town, the only one part of the triangle of white magic, with Lion and Prague, and that of black magic
Maybe San Francisco, with the Nexus, could be the Hellmouth
